  1. Thanks Frank, Yes I have a ColorChecker and will try and remember to do occasional calibration shot. Been also experimenting with using a profile in Lightroom which does work but the lack of an invert adjustment means using the profile to flip the colours also causes the controls to work backwards which is not ideal. As I shoot less film now I'll probably just use AP to process the scans - balancing the histograms and applying small corrections to the tail of the curves works quite well and then use the LUTs to batch process similar images. Will at least get me close enough to just then do quick final tweaks for any images that deserve it. Regards, Jonathan
  2. Thanks Frank - running a diff over your inverter.cube compared to mine exported from Affinity, I can see swapped columns. Just curious, how did you generate that LUT? I assume it wasn't with AP? Glad you were able to confirm the bug - just using the invert layer on its own is enough, so hopefully will be straightforward to fix. BTW, I found another work-around as well - if I use 'infer LUT' from a processed image it will also do the job. Using LUTs looks like a useful way of batch processing negatives. Thanks, Jonathan

Hi, I've been experimenting with using LUT's for colour negative processing - using the idea that generally the set of colour corrections I need for one roll of film are pretty close from scan to scan, I though I'd try doing the set of inversion and curve adjustments on one image, then export a LUT and apply that to all the other images from the roll. However I found that the results were way off, and tracked it down to a bug exporting a LUT containing an inversion layer - from the histogram it looks like the blue+red channels are swapped. Here's some screen shots to illustrate the problem (with just the inversion layer). First, the scanned negative (inversion layer is deselected): Next applying the inversion adjustment layer: Now, export a LUT and open the original file and apply the LUT adjustment layer: Notice the inversion has been applied, but form the histogram it looks like the Red+Blue layers have been swapped. This happens in Affinity Photo 1.5 and 1.5 beta 2. Hope you will be able to fix this, Many thanks, Jonathan ps downsized copy of original image attached in case you need a test image.
  4. Hi Andy, Looking promising thanks, however the "camera profile" selection box is only displaying ICC profiles of classes "output" and "display" rather than classes "input" and "display". The output profile list looks OK though. Going to see if I can hack my camera input profile to change its class for now to test the rest of the functionality, Jonathan

This is due to current Affinity Photo beta not applying or allowing you to select camera profiles in the develop persona - I raised a feature request here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/5954-develop-persona-camera-profile/ and Andy indicated that it was coming soon - fingers crossed :) Jonathan
  6. When developing a raw file, what camera profile is being used? I might be going daft, but I couldn't find anywhere to select the input (camera) profile, only the output profile. The reason I ask is that my raw files appear to be over saturated with Adobe RGB working (output profile). Attached is a screen grab of a quick comparison to Lightroom for a Leica M240 DNG (by the way, you don't have the M240 on the supported camera list, but I've not had any problems opening its DNGs).
