  1. Select first layer the do a two finger tap on last layer to select everything between as well.
  2. No issue for me. Can you provide sample file? IMG_1865.MOV
  3. Works with Command Controller too (no keyboard).
  4. Grids are available, see attached photo. Snapping is magnet symbol next to preview menu. Both are available in current beta. Should be available in rel soon, if you don’t want to try beta.🙂
  5. There are lots of new features in V2. Are you saying they should have been added in V1? Then why even have new releases? It’s a business and the company sold you a package as is, then gave you extra features on top, all good. But where does it cut off?
  6. Easily done. Set a suitable canvas size e.g A4. Then use the Place feature to place as many images on the canvas as you desire. Select each layer and rasterise if you want to edit them. Otherwise simply select and use object handles to size and position images. Clip inside shapes if you want “fancy”. 😁 simple example file attached to show howto use clipping in shapes. Just add a shape and drag image layer over object layer till it goes blue. Then release. Select either layer to size/position shape and or image. montage.afphoto
  7. The others ways are to duplicate a selected layer: 1. long press anywhere on screen to bring up the quickmenu, tap Duplicate 2. While holding two fingers on the screen, touch and drag the object. 🙂
  8. It should be reasonably easy. It is still drag and drop on ipad. For double pages where only wanting to move a single page just tick the one you want to drag. Position it slightly to right of page you want to move to and drop it. If it lands in wrong spot just drag it again.🙂 IMG_1826.MOV
  9. Lol, no bother Sharkey. Been there, done that. For others in a similar position, a two finger tap will undo last action. A 3 finger tap will redo. I that’s too hard, you can turn on the undo/redo controls in preferences. They will then be available in studio bar at the bottom of screen.😁
  10. Hi LizBrown, I’m using the current beta (it’s available to all users and installs separately to release version). The release version has this bug (devs are aware). The current beta version has this fixed. App and Doc Pallettes are both working correctly. You could wait for the next update to rel version or, if it’s a major pain, simply download the beta version and use that. It addresses a number of known issues. Beta also offers some new features such as Style picker.🙂
  11. I thought this issue had been fixed. Check you have updated to the latest version. It’s working ok for me on latest release and current beta.🙂
  12. To be clear, no it is not. It is a major pain but currently the only reliable way to save externally is to return to Home Screen then manually save.
  13. Thanks Ash, the addition of this new feature makes the importing and editing large PDFs on the iPad much, much better. Paragraphs do tend to have paragraph marks at the end of each line of text but these are relatively easily removed with search and replace.
  14. I would recommend posting as a new bug report rather than attaching to an old report. It’s more likely to be noticed by mods that way.🙂
  15. As per title when in left hand mode the Resize menu does not scroll far enough to access Resample and reset setting controls. Affects current beta too.
  16. Check under snapping options that you have snap to guides enabled. Long press snap icon to tap little triangle on snap icon to get menu.
  17. Not meant that way, sorry. Simply offering a workflow that has proven to limit workloss resulting from Affinities somewhat unusual and problematic method of file handling/saving. Duplicating/cloning an existing file on returning to Home Screen is definitely not meant to occur. A bug or glitch for sure. Yours is probably the first I have seen reported, It’s certainly not common. However there are quite a few reports of Home Screen files getting corrupted in sandbox on returning to Home Screen, then being inaccessible (hence advice to save externally). Apple have made many changes to memory handling in iOS, and it has a habit of reallocating memory to other apps etc, which may contribute to some of the issues users have experienced with lost edits. Having said that, It’s certainly more reliable now than in V1.🙂 Sandbox files are located in the apps internally installed folder system but the apps folders are inaccessible without a pc/Mac and specialist software that can provide access to iOS protected areas. Even if they were able to be accessed, I doubt that they are in any format the we as users could open or edit. It’s another reason why it’s a good idea to save externally (even though we really shouldn’t need to). Designer has a log file in Settings/Privacy/Security/analytics data… they are ips files, names starting with photo or Designer followed by a date. You can export ips files and open in a doc viewer. They may assist devs with fault finding. Hopefully mods will catch up soon, but I suspect these sorts of infrequent bugs are the worst variety to both replicate and resolve.
  18. Works correctly at first but after switching between custom and original and thirds spiral and none options in context toolbar, individual x2 sliders affect both height and width. Edit. May also depend on previous mode being view or move. IMG_1704.MOV
  19. Hard to say without knowing your workflow. You appear to have two documents with the same name? You should still be able to open one of them. Affinity creates a sandbox file. “Manually” Saving creates an external file linked to the sandbox file. The external file (if it has been created) will only update with another manual save. Autosave only updates the sandbox version. You can have the same file in two different states of progress (unless you manually save after returning to Home Screen). The (M) next to name is a reminder of need to manually save. It disappears after saving. You appear to have a number of unsaved files, while some are happy to work this way, I feel it is risky not to regularly save outside the app using the “Save/Save as” functions. Recommend workflow: 1. Set autosave to 30 seconds (in preferences). Note this only updates internal version. 2. Create new or Import a document. 3. On Home Screen tap 3 bar menu and use “Save or Save as” to create an external copy linked to internal copy. 4. Edit as required, returning to Home Screen updates internal copy. (M) next to file name. 5. Tap 3 bar menu and tap save. Edits are now saved to external file. (M) disappears from file name. In the event something happens to corrupt internal file, simple open the External version and a new sandbox version is created. If you have saved manually, regularly, not too much is lost. Also when returning to Home Screen always wait for spinning symbol to finish (saving complete) before closing or opening anything else. Big files may take a few seconds to complete.
  20. If the object layer is selected, a pixel layer will be created inside the layer. If not selected, a pixel layer is added to top of layers. IMG_1680.MOV
  21. Not something I have experienced. Are you saving locally or cloud? Have you tried the beta version? Many fixes being tested.
