  1. I found the directory but AP does not recognize the NIK software file that is in that directory. I have uninstalled Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. The free trial period is a waste of time. Not worth even the $25 purchase price for each program. Back to beautiful Photoshop and Illustrator. They work perfectly. Worth the hundreds of dollars per year for the subscription. Affinity = garbage.
  2. You say, add the following directory to the plugin search directory, it should work. Where is the plugin search directory? I cannot find it. Be specific step by step. Where is it? Click this button then that button then this button and that button. Where is each button? Be specific.
  3. I have AP 1.8.3. It does not recognize that I have the NIK collection. I tried going to the directory where it is located from within AP, but it does not recognize that the NIK exe file is in the directory where it is. Use of the NIK collection is critical for me. I see that others are having these problems too. If I cannot get AP to see the NIK file, this is a deal breaker. I will not even use AP for free, let alone $25. By the way, I could not find where to post this message, so I am doing it here. The layout for your forums is horrible. Where the hell do we post just simple, "I am having an issue with Affinity Photo" questions?
  4. I opened a PSD file with main photo and a stack of backgrounds. How do I drag and drop a new background onto the stack?
  5. In Affinity Photo, I opened a PSD file that I created with Photoshop, and all the layers show up fine. I have a main photo that is masked and several layers that serve as backgrounds. I can turn any background on or off to have it show up as the background to the photo. I want to add another background photo as a new layer, but I can't find any menu to do that. I open the new background as a photo and I want to drag it onto the main photo with its background layers. In Photoshop I arrange the two photos side by side and drag the new background photo onto the main photo and align it as a new layer. I can't find any Affinity menu that lets me show the main photo PSD and the new background photo side by side so I can drag it onto the main photo. This is extremely important to me. If I can't do that, I will uninstall Affinity Photo and go back to Photoshop because it is fabulous and the user friendliness is fantastic. So far, the Affinity user friendliness is not so good.
