roddy got a reaction from HammerOz in Cinemagraph feature for Affinity Photo iPad & Desktop? (When?)
    Fixx,
Deceptively (as many other software companies have been doing to attract customers), in the App Store it states "FREE" but doesn't tell you that there is a WATERMARK unless you decide to pay for a plan ($16.66 / month or $199.99 billed annually). Funny how paying monthly comes out cheaper by $.07.

I'm tired of these tactics. An app is not free if you have to pay to remove watermarks or to be able to import, save, or export a finished file.

roddy got a reaction from Affinity iPad Student in Cinemagraph feature for Affinity Photo iPad & Desktop? (When?)
Why just for the iPad? It would be a great addition to the desktop version as well. I think most Affinity Photo users really want to be able to leave Photoshop once and for all, and be able to have all the features of Photoshop with the ease and design of Affinity Photo. If Serif would do this, there would be a major industry shift.

roddy got a reaction from Leigh in Basic Long Shadow Effect using Affinity Photo
    Leigh,
Thanks for the advice on exporting as a PDF! When I opened the PDF in Affinity Photo, it imported as 2 separate layers and I was able to copy and paste the shadow into my original project.
I wonder why the process is available for the Windows version and not for the Mac. Especially since Affinity Photo was released for the Mac, first. I hope someone at Serif will read this and fix this issue.
    Thanks for this workaround!

roddy got a reaction from Alfred in How to repeatedly duplicate and rotate an object ?
    Alfred,
Thank you so much! Didn't realize there were so many steps, though. Worked great.
I did notice that when (I'm using the built in shapes in Affinity Photo (heart, circle)) zooming in on the shapes, they look really pixelated regardless of the size of the shapes drawn. I'm using version 1.5.2 on an iMac. When i viewed the tutorial on Vimeo for Power Duplicate https://vimeo.com/110124748 all the stars look great zoomed in, but my shapes look pixelated. Any idea why? I attached my file of shapes I was experimenting with.

We need this feature to create stacking, from multiple exposures, with different focus points. Photoshop does this quite well, and is a must for macro photography.

roddy got a reaction from ronnyb in adjust saturation of different-color objects at the same time?
    ronnyb,

Thanks! That did it. I thought one would be able to select the layer, then Adjust, so that it would only affect the current selected layer, not the entire document with all layers as a whole.
The video is for Designer, but works the same in Affinity Photo which is what I am using. Thanks again. Jesus Loves You!

Not sure if my question is similar in nature, but is color adjustment possible for a specific layer, instead of all of them?
I have two layers, I select one of them, and when I go to the Adjustment Tab>HSL, my HSL adjustments affect the entire document (both layers). How does one only make the adjustment to a specific layer?
