Huh, yeah, a tool like this and i would buy Designer too. A "morphing tool" would be a really reason to have booth apps.

But this tool should also create an "export layer" with all between-steps inside, placed vertically below each other, each step in a "size-placeholder" container.
The biggest object determines the "container-size", all other "between steps must have the same container size, independingly from its real (object) size.
Lets say i morph serif-text in 24p to a non-serif text (other letters) in 12p and back to a phat text in eg 36p - in this case the 36p (plus a small frame) must be the size of the container in vertically and the longest text in horizontally and the size of this BIGGEST STRETCH is the placeholder-container for  EACH single-step!
And yeah, this tool should be able to morph more complicated stuff than rectangle to circle;-)
It must not be 100% smooth/perfect, in the opposite, our eyes are sluggish, often 5-10 steps are enough, like the dock-animation or simple gif-stunts....

No. If the artwork is not designed on the pixel grid, you can't force it there automatically.
Yes, if you have multiple Snapping options enabled, you can't be sure which one an object will snap to when you move it. Disable the ones you don't want.
Also, make sure you have Move by Whole Pixels turned off. And make sure you don't hold the Alt/Opt key while moving objects.

A not so well known command is to use CMD+D to deselect the text tool when in editing mode. Then hit the shortcut key for the tool you want to use next.
But basically CMD+D (I think it's Option+D on Mac) behaves the same as ESC.

Note that Cmd+D (shortcut for the Deselect command in the Select menu) will deselect the text frame entirely while Esc's action varies:
If text is selected in a text frame: Esc will deselect the text and leave the text cursor in the frame. If the cursor is in a text frame: Esc will remove the text cursor from the frame but leave the frame selected. Unfortunately, assigning Esc to Deselect will not work in a text frame because the behaviour of the Esc key is hardcoded in the context of editing text. But if Cmd+D isn't convenient enough you could find another single key to map to it.

Have you tried the Esc (Escape) key? You may need to press it twice, in some circumstances, depending on what you want to do next.

The easiest way is maybe open the fx-panel of that shape and set the object-opacity to zero. Then you  will get just the shadow, or glow... nothing else!

Assets get added to the Assets Panel either via drag&drop or via menu command "Add From Selection" of an assets category.

    Hei @Polygonius
I assume you use the crop tool to quickly and visually extend the document size, creating a margin around the image, perhaps as a mat/passepartout. Note that in Photo, you can also do this, albeit more mechanically and traditionally, by using Document -> Resize Canvas.
Designer operates a bit differently with documents - not so much technically, but the user interface assumes you're working with objects and handles a document differently - less like pixels more like paper with objects. But inside in the machine room Designer and Photo are very much alike.
In Designer, you can't do it as in Photo, from what I know, but you can do it in a somewhat roundabout way that's oookay if you don't have to do it often:
Open file in Designer: Edit -> Edit in Photo (If your file is already open and in progress in Designer, save before continuing) In Photo 1/2: Use this crop function as you usually do in Photo In Photo 2/2: Edit -> Edit in Designer You're back, now with a mat/passepartout in the document 🙂

That isn't strictly true because AP can open a document made in AD that has artboards & saved in AP, like in this simple 2 artboards in AP.afphoto file. (It's V2 so you can't open it but I'm sure you get the idea.)

In APhoto a document can have 1 "Canvas" only whereas in ADesigner a document can have multiple "Artboards" and of varying sizes. Thus the two apps don't work identically and the "clip/unclip canvas" option or the Crop Tool don't have the exactly same function and features on purpose.
To create an artboard in AD in the size of one ore more selected layer(s) choose the Artboard Tool, select "Selection" from the "Size" menu and click the "Insert Artboard" button. If your .afdesign contains artboard layers in the Layers Panel already you may need to move the selected object(s) into the newly created artboard layer and move an artboard to another position in the workspace area.

Alternatively you can create a new .afdesign by selected objects: Choose "Copy", then menu "File" -> "New From Clipboard".

    Hi @Polygonius,
On the basis you purchased the app via the Affinity store once you've signed in to your Affinity ID you can access your Universal License downloads on the 'V2 Licenses and downloads' page linked below.

It is reasonably new, in usage.
It is a wrapper that attempts to obscure the interoperability of files from the internet/browser space with your onboard file system and OS. They don't sell it like this, of course. But it's exactly why Behance, Dribbble and Pinterest are using this mechanism.

If you're browsing the internet and find an image you're interested in, and come across this problem, use the browser's ability to view the source page, and locate the images folder. There you'll find the unwrapped images and be able to copy/save them as per normal.
