walt.farrell got a reaction from Dan C in SVG embeds not behaving as embedded once a document is reopened.
Looks like it's already reported, and logged as af-1416, and apparently fixed in the 2.4 Beta when that arrives.

I have to agree with Walt on this. If I were scanning B&W negs I would just output 16bit Greyscale TIFFs and use the Photo Persona. I doubt that would miss anything from being unable to use the Develop Persona. A well scanned 16 bit Greyscale TIFF would have a greater dynamic range than anything from DSLRs with their 12 or 14 bit dynamic range.

If Mike is right about the cause (which he probably is), there's nothing more for the staff to say than they have elsewhere.
True EPS files can be handled by the Affinity applications. Those files are not really EPS fights, but a composite of an EPS container (which is documented and understood by Affinity) which holds a .ai file (a proprietary undocumented format that Affinity does not understand).
The stock sites should not say they are providing EPS files, but rather that they are providing Adobe Illustrator files which are not guaranteed to work for anyone but Adobe Illustrator users.

I still don't understand why you need it, since you can do everything you should need in the Photo Persona.

Thanks. You could convert them to RGB, and then the Develop Persona will work. But I would probably still use the Photo Persona. It is more non-destructive for the work you need to do on non-RAW files.

If you Open the Help and put EXIF in the Search field, you should find Metadata Panel as the first result.
(And if you're on a macOS release where searching in the in-app Help doesn't work, you can do this with the online Help at https:/affinity.help )

I would check see if the scanning software can output 16 bit TIFF files and then just use the Photo persona's non destructive Adjustment layers in Photo. The level of detail in a 16 bit TIFF is going to be high enough to compare with a raw file that the Develop persona would use. The quality may even be higher than what would be available from a raw file. Just save the TIFF file as a Photo File, *.afphoto and keep the TIFFs in a folder, maybe even go so far as to make them Read Only so as to prevent overwriting.

    Shutterstock, etc., also list it.
Even places where similar eps files are located, if there is evident transparency, those eps files are either merely containers having an embedded jpeg or embedded AI file. Just the way it is.
So if the file came from Adobe or another pay-site, it is a commercial product and shouldn't be freely shared. However, if you search the forum, there are samples here where people have uploaded such files that fail in Affinity (and other) applications that open faithfully in AI.
btw, I used Tineye for a reverse image search on the OP's jpeg upload to find sources. Adobe was just the first hit.

Those would be raster brushes, so in Designer you would need to look in the Pixel Persona to see or use them.

AFAI recall, sadly, that was always your intention from beginnings in this forum. Aka to get some responses convulsively then to some obscure mostly Affinity software unrelated theme threads here in the forum. So mostly about things usually nobody seems to be really interested in. - I for my part will now leave and ignore such threads, in order to not feed the trolls with view clicks that these people are just after!

There is nothing special about those frames. It is common for frames to come with cutouts/mats such as you have been describing.
