walt.farrell got a reaction from Callum in AP V1 will not open
That sounds like you are double-clicking on the installer file (e.g., in your Downloads folder), not on the installed application file (e.g., in Program Files). Clicking on the installer is the only time you'd get Uninstall or Repair as the prompt.
That is probably what caused the problem. But if you use the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter that Callum and I have suggested it should resolve the problem.

walt.farrell reacted to fmommeja in Affinity Publisher 2.3.0 Bug : Figure Space displays as a zero character
Well, I saw in FontForge that there was no content for the U+2007 character…
I copied the space character content (U+0020) to U+2007 then copied the width of a W letter (U+0057) that fitted to my needs for a Figure Space… saved, generated the new .otf file… Et voilà ! ^^

No this is not happening, and you realising that these new forums would be the place for you to post means you must now accept that there is no existing place for you to post these comments.

@walt.farrel thank you for the answer. Before I made a new topic I tried to find any post about the problem but have not been successful. Don't know what went wrong. Now I get a lot issues with WB

You're welcome.
Can you explain what the problem was that you had to fix?

walt.farrell got a reaction from mopperle in How to avoid clickbaiting threads?
Another topic, and questionable contribution to this forum, as it has absolutely nothing to do with the Affinity products.
If the owner of punster.me wants to allow it, that's fine. It does not belong here, nor do any references to it, in my opinion.

walt.farrell got a reaction from pioneer in TOC in Publisher
Continuing on from what Mike said: By default, assuming those entries use Heading 1 as the Text Style, you'll have TOC Text Styles of TOC1: Heading 1 which is based on TOC1: Entry which is based on Base.
Base specifies a Space After of 12pt in its paragraph settings, and the TOC Text Styles leave that unchanged. You can edit any of those Text Styles and change the Space After to 0.

walt.farrell got a reaction from Boldlinedesign in List of some third party vectorization & tracing tools
That's a very off-topic discussion for this topic in these forums, and for the Affinity forums in general. I would respectfully suggest that it should be held elsewhere (on a VS discussion forum would be best), to keep this topic and these forums to their intended purpose.

walt.farrell got a reaction from GarryP in Can V2 open PSD files more accurately than V1?
The trials are sometimes reset during a version, from what I've seen, but only Serif staff would be able to guess when that might happen next. But it's a good warning. Thanks for mentioning it.

Just to verify, this is something that has been requested with our developers and is being considering internally for a future Affinity Photo update

walt.farrell reacted to thomaso in Problem adding a border after cropping
Alternatively you can use a separate object for the border, e.g. a rectangle with a stroke applied.
This also enables you to export a wanted detail entirely without cropping or rasterizing the initial image by using the export option "Selection Area". (… and, if you don't want a coloured border, even regardless of its position in the layers hierarchy).

walt.farrell reacted to jackamus in New document bug. Formats are missing A2, A1 and A0.
My answer to a list getting longer because of newer standard sizes and then improved it by removing that which previous was needed but now has become superfluous, is 'rationalization'. This is not the same as removing something that was previously needed. I can understand rationalizing a list of paper sizes that include sizes which are considered no longer standard. 'Foolscap' being a good example.

walt.farrell got a reaction from R C-R in Why can I not paint on a layer in Affinity Photo?
When you have an active pixel selection (as you did), you can only paint within that selection. So, when you cannot paint with a raster brush, one thing to try is deselecting any pixel selections.

walt.farrell reacted to R C-R in How to avoid clickbaiting threads?
As has been mentioned before, the number of views a topic gets does not mean anything one way or another about how useful or helpful anybody considers its content to be. What is a much better gauge of that is the number of 'likes' and/or 'thanks' posts in the topic receive from those viewing it, & what those posts say that generate those accolades.
Make of that what you will.

walt.farrell got a reaction from Old Bruce in Problem in Publisher V2 with linked images
There is no option like that in the Affinity applications.
Images are displayed in low-res if they are linked but missing, or linked but have not yet been fully loaded for display. They are in high-res when they are linked, not missing, and have been fully loaded.

walt.farrell got a reaction from PaulEC in New document bug. Formats are missing A2, A1 and A0.
As I understand it, the Serif technical staff are broken up into at least 3 groups: Support (who handle these forums), QA (who do quality assurance and also handle these forums), and Developers (who write the code, and occasionally appear in these forums).

They said they were simplifying the dialog, and removing options not needed by most users that could easily be added back by the users who do need them.

walt.farrell got a reaction from PaulEC in New document bug. Formats are missing A2, A1 and A0.
I think it was considered broken, as the list was long and unwieldy, and included too many options not needed by most users.
Removing some less-frequently used options was one of the "fixes" they made. The other was the addition of the Portrait/Landscape toggle, eliminating the need to define presets twice (once for Portrait, once for Lanscape).
Neither fix seems to have been popular with some users who post here in the forums.

walt.farrell reacted to Hangman in Problem IPad Affinity Publisher
Ah, okay... 'Doc live' is also the name of a service used by OneDrive hence my confusion... I'm surprised it doesn't get translated into Italian along with the other icons but there you go, I've learnt something new today, thank you... 😀

Live Docs is the home screen on the Affinity V2 apps on iPad, otherwise known as the Sandbox in V1.
