  1. This search (scroll export options) found it, if that helps you understand more about searching via the built-in search. But it is necessary to weed out some irrelevant hits. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&q=Scroll export options&quick=1
  2. By Design, basically. It is usable only for vector brushes, and it's probably available in the UI in Photo in case you open a file there that used that function in Designer.
  3. Or to remain compatible over time as the file format evolves.
  4. You can edit a global color, but you can't replace it with another one that you've defined.
  5. I'm not sure what you mean. Can you give an example or more description?
  6. You know what it (aflaunch) does, because Serif described its functions. Beyond that, your screenshot program should be able to deal with MSIX applications (such as the Affinity version you have) and if it can't, that's a problem the developers of that program should fix. And if they won't, then you will need to uninstall the MSIX version and install the EXE/MSIX version instead.
  7. Thanks for clarifying. As the applications are completely separate, V2 would be irrelevant to your V1 issue, except for creating confusion because you mentioned it.
  8. No, but didn't you start out saying you've been having this problem since V2 was released?
  9. You should uninstall the version you have, before you do that.
  10. Good detective work. Sounds like you need to uninstall and reinstall Designer 2.
  11. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. You install fonts into your OS, using the facilities provided by the OS or by a separate font manager application if you have one. Note that the Affinity applications support TTF or OTF fonts, but they must be Static fonts, not Variable.
  12. I see the same behavior on iPad. It works fine on Windows.
  13. File > Open should work. Or File > Place. Can you share the PSD file?
  14. What format are you exporting to, and exactly what Export settings did you use? You have mentioned Artboards and Images, but have not told or shown us anything about how you are using them. Best would be to provide a sample .afdesign file, a sample image file, and an Exported file so we can see what you've done. These don't have to be your product files, just something equivalent for us to examine.
  15. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @jared2814. They are both supported on both Win 10 and Win 11, and both are (probably) running there for many users. But it's impossible to say whether upgrading to Win 11 would or would not "affect anything."
  16. You would only have it if you installed using the default (MSIX) method. Otherwise, if you installed using the EXE method, you will have information in %AppData%\Affinity instead.
  17. But to get back to what this topic was about, it's not about installing the products, but about moving one's preferences and additional data to a new machine. To do that, you need to manually copy it from the original machine to the new one. And that means you need to know where the preferences and data are stored. If you can't find them on your old machine, @D.VE, as you mentioned above, then that's a problem you need to resolve. As you're using an unsupported installation method, Serif doesn't document where the those files are located. You will need to search for them. The FAQ I showed earlier tells some of the file and folder names. When searching, be aware that there are installation files with the same names as the preference files. You need to find the ones created after the install, while running the programs. That is, the files in the user folder, for example, not the files in a directory below the resources folder.
  18. I wondered about that, but I don't have any problems increasing the number of columns; the width is simply divided automatically.
  19. Sorry, but I'm not seeing what might be wrong from that screenshot. It looks like you've set the number of columns to 2 in both the Context Toolbar and the Text Frame panel. When I do that on either Windows or macOS I get 2 columns, just as I would expect.
  20. Can you show us a screenshot of the complete application window, including the Layers panel, with the Frame Text Tool selected and the Text Frame layer selected?
  21. If the Text Frame panel setting wasn't responsible for the problem, try the Paragraph panel. Under Decorations, if you have specified a Fill, you could get similar effects: If that doesn't explain it, a sample .afpub document that illustrates the problem would be useful.
  22. OK, then about all I can think of is removing or renaming your .propcol files (vector_brushes.propcol and raster_brushes.propcol) and see if that helps. You can find their locations from this FAQ: but as you're using the EXE/MSI version they should be in %appdata%\Affinity\Common\2.0\user\ I would probably rename them both, while the applications are not running, so you retain the old files in case they're needed for further diagnosis. So, for example, rename vector_brushes.propcol to vector_brushes-save.propcol and rename raster_brushes.propcol to raster_brushes-save.propcol and then start Designer 2 and see if you have brushes.
  23. But did you try the Scale Override option in the Transform panel, as Lee suggested?
  24. This topic is for introductions, not for product usage questions. It would be better for you to post a new topic in the appropriate Questions forum.
