  1. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. It would help to know what error message they gave. Also, if you hover the pointer over the red X in your second screenshot, there should be a message, I think. In any case, from other reports Yyu will probably need to Reset the programs, which will remove any previously installed brushes, assets, etc. and set them to a fresh "factory installed" state. To do that: Make sure none of the Affinity V2 apps are running. Start one of them, and when you see the Splash screen, quickly double-tap it with one finger. That should give you a dialog to reset the application. You should see a section of options for resetting the Brushes, Assets, etc. in all 3 applications. I would suggest choosing at least Brushes and Assets from that list, but if there are more things that aren't working you should select them, too. Then click the button to perform the reset.
  2. XLSX is already supported. XLS is unlikely. Yes, the Table support needs more work.
  3. True, but in another sense you're not doing anything to the pixels themselves; you're just overlaying their locations in another layer.
  4. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @D. K.. As far as I know (but I'm just a user), there are no free items like Assets available currently with the purchase of a single application license, nor with the purchase of a Universal license. There are some that come with the purchase of a Universal license when you're upgrading from V1 to V2. But to check for sure, check the Account dialog within the application. You should have an icon for it on the right side of the Toolbar, or on the initial dialog when you open the program, or in the dialog you'd get using Ctrl-N (Windows) or Cmd-N (macOS). If you have any free items to download then should appear in that Account dialog.
  5. It should be safe. The files are not being updated on disk while they are open; the updates happen in memory unless you take a specific action such as a Save.
  6. But you can now see that your assumption was incorrect. You can see that in the Layers panel, and probably in the documentation (Help). Adjustments can be made via Live Filters or Adjustment Layers without the need for rasterization. It's those specific kinds of Selections that require the rasterization, in your case. Possibly someone from Serif (or another forum user) will be able to explain that requirement. It's not that, because it applies to Image layers, too, which are not a new function. They, like RAW layers, are not pixel objects.
  7. Or, possibly, it is not available for brush packs installed from the Affinity Store, as that one was. You could probably Copy the brush to a category of your own, and rename it there.
  8. It's only On or Off, as far as I know. But if you really needed to enable/disable it on a more granular basis you could always use a Character Text Style assigned to specific pairs of characters.
  9. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Yes, it's compatible with Windows 11. Was it working fine on that computer on Win 10, and then started failing when you upgraded Windows to Win 11?
  10. I've tried it now, and I was right that those selection functions don't work on Image layers, either. So, as I suspect, you would need to Rasterize the layer (whether RAW or Image) before making the selection. I'm not sure that's required, as I think there are other pixel selection functions that work on Image layers. But even then, you cannot use the selections to do anything to the pixels unless you have a Pixel layer. So Rasterization would be needed as the next step even if you could make the selection. Yes, that means that some functions require destructive operations. In the case of a RAW layer, you could duplicate the layer, and Rasterize the duplicate. Then make your selection and work with it using the duplicated (now Pixel) layer. If you need to go back into Develop, you can use the original RAW layer, and simply re-do the steps you took on the Rasterized layer.
  11. Release is probably 6-8 weeks after it begins the beta, maybe longer. Anyone who has a V2 license for one of the applications can join the beta for that application. See:
  12. Released, or made available as a beta? The beta should become available sometime after Serif reopens Jan. 3.
  13. Probably not a bug. Many functions require a Pixel layer, and you have a RAW layer which is a kind of vector-like container, much like an Image layer. I can't check right now, but you might try this experiment: 1. Create a new empty document. 2. Use File > Place to add a JPG file, such should give you an Image layer. 3. Try your Select operation again. If it doesn't work, try Rasterizing the layer and then try selecting again.
  14. Does Outlook 2016 provide any configuration settings for how attachments are opened, such as which applications to use or where they're located?
  15. Forum hint: That tagging didn't work. You need to: Type the @ sign, then Start typing the username you want to tag, then Select the name from the dropdown list that appears during step 2. If you do that correctly, you will see it as a highlighted field, not plain text as in your post. E.g., @Serif Info Bot
  16. You can use a Liquify Live Filter from the Photo Persona of the Photo application. And there was a time when, in the Photo Persona of Publisher, you could also use the Liquify Live Filter, which is similar to using the Liquify Persona in the Photo application. But that was a bug because the Liquify Live Filter requires the Liquify Persona, which is only in the Photo application, and that bug has been fixed. For more,
  17. Switched to the Photo application (File > Edit in Photo...) or simply switched to the Photo Persona in the Publisher application? If you're in the Photo application, you should have the Liquify Persona available there:
  18. If you Open the Help and put EXIF in the Search field, you should find Metadata Panel as the first result. (And if you're on a macOS release where searching in the in-app Help doesn't work, you can do this with the online Help at https:/affinity.help )
  19. Just guessing, but: Are you signed-in to your Dropbox app on your iPad? If you browse the Dropbox folder where the files should be, using the Files app, are they downloaded to your iPad or only in the cloud? If they are only in the cloud, then if you open the Dropbox app, and look at the files there, and mark them to be available offline, does that resolve the problem?
  20. It seems to work OK for me. Note that you are resizing the Canvas (as you say in the title), not the Document (as you say in the post). But both seem to work. What is the current size of your canvas, and have you made any changes in that dialog other than changing the units?
  21. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Most effects applied to vector objects will cause rasterization when exporting from the Affinity applications to PDF. This is not a bug. I'm surprised you found some that don't.
  22. It would help to have a screenshot with the selection tool active, but for a guess, check the Feather value.
