Thanks. Yes, I get those options in the context menu with a long-press on correctly-spelled text. But that seems odd given that in the screenshot from @Welsbach the word is underlined in red showing it is misspelled.

Typing text in the Photo app
walt.farrell replied to Ove Steen's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
You might try setting the text characteristics as you want in one file, and then using Edit > Defaults > Synchronize from Selection followed by Edit > Defaults > Save. -
Both my suggestion and yours are changes to the entire text, but mine is clearly a more substantial change than yours and yours is simpler to implement. I had never noticed that if there is no line break possible on a line, the text will simply reflow at the edge of the frame anyway. So, thanks for that.

TOC in Publisher
walt.farrell replied to pioneer's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Continuing on from what Mike said: By default, assuming those entries use Heading 1 as the Text Style, you'll have TOC Text Styles of TOC1: Heading 1 which is based on TOC1: Entry which is based on Base. Base specifies a Space After of 12pt in its paragraph settings, and the TOC Text Styles leave that unchanged. You can edit any of those Text Styles and change the Space After to 0. -
If you mean the Recolor Adjustment, you should have 3 sliders, one each for hue, brightness, and saturation; not just 1 slider. Have I misunderstood what you meant, or are you using some other method? In any case, no, you cannot specify the color using an RGB number with that Adjustment. What you can do, though, is find the color you want via the Color panel, then switch the Color panel to HSL sliders. You can then use the H, S, and L numbers from those sliders in the Recolor Adjustment.

Programme not working
walt.farrell replied to Ani's topic in Customer Service, Accounts and Purchasing
Here's something else to try, @Ani: Close the Affinity application(s). Press and hold Ctrl while starting one of them. Release Ctrl when you get the Clear User Data dialog. (Note: you may need to watch for the application icon to appear on the Task Bar, and click it, to get that dialog. Keep holding Ctrl until you get it.) Uncheck everything. Check Reset Account Data at the bottom of the second section of options. Click Clear. -
Preferring not to guess, I asked for more details or a sample

But it would be pasted at the same location it was copied from, usually.

Probably, at some point, you hid the complete interface (e.g., via the Tab key or View > Toggle User Interface) and then restored it piecemeal (View > Show Toolbar, View > Show Context Toolbar, etc.). Unfortunately, View > Toggle User Interface is the only way to hide or show the Status Bar, which is what you're missing. You will need to use View > Toggle User Interface again (possibly twice) to get it back, and then make any other needed adjustments via the View menu if something else is missing.

It would help to have a screenshot to illustrate the problem, including the Layers panel, @HuwR. Even more helpful would be a sample .afphoto file where we can see the problem. I might guess you're doing something other than a simple copy and paste, as that should not cause problems, so you might also explain what you do after the paste operation. Moving the pasted item, or resizing it, may be the cause of the problem for example. Or something you do after that.

Your topic title talks about not having a Histogram in Curves and Levels. The post talks about "Histogram with sliders for tones". That's a bit confusing to me. There is a Histogram in the Curves adjustment on iPad, for example. And though I've shown the RGB Master view below, you can also adjust the individual color channels individually, and they have histograms, too. Levels does not have a histogram, though. Or were you specifically wanting sliders for Levels on iPad, as the desktop Affinity applications have?

Programme not working

Also, it's possible to have a mixture of the applications installed on Windows that can cause this. Nathan has more on that below: -
Programme not working
walt.farrell replied to Ani's topic in Customer Service, Accounts and Purchasing
If you click on the red bar at the top of the forum pages you'll see that they are taking a holiday break, and running with at most only a small crew until Jan. 3. That may explain the lack of response. If you right-click in that dialog one of your options should be to run a Connectivity Check. It would be good to know the results of that check. Sometimes this happens if the clock is set incorrectly on your computer. Next, the FAQ below suggests that one reason for this may be that you have an Affinity application "stuck" in the background and not responding. You might check that. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/182419-troubleshooting-affinity-v2-licence-activation-issues/&do=findComment&comment=1057894
