  1. As another alternative for you to consider, the XnViewMP application also provides XnConvert which can batch-convert Amiga IFF files to another format, such as PNG.
  2. You could even have the Invert Adjustment on a Master Page, to make it easy to apply to all the document pages. It's a bit tricky, but easier than manually applying the adjustment if you have enough pages. Create the Master with the Adjustment layer. Apply it to all the pages, retaining the existing Master(s) if any On one document page, right-click that Master Page layer and choose Edit Linked. Click on the Adjustment layer and use the Menu to move it to the front/top. (Don't drag it; use the Menu).
  3. You have Artboard functionality if you use the Designer Persona in Publisher. And if you want to create a document that has Artboards: Switch to the Designer Persona in Publisher. File > New Uncheck option for Default Master Page and make sure Number of Pages is 1. Check option for Create Artboard. Click Create. Or, Open a Template file that contains Artboards.
  4. Can you share a sample .afdesign document, containing at least that set of layers you're trying to apply the effects to?
  5. Thanks. You'll probably want the "user" and "Settings" directories. This FAQ will help you locate them:
  6. There's nothing to switch on or off for that, so something odd is happening. Does this happen with all documents, or just one specific one? Have you confirmed from the Layers panel that there are actually Master Pages applied?
  7. Do you get other Tooltips? Are you really using the Beta, and if so what release and application?
  8. For Windows I think the magic was setting the number of columns to 40 for the Tools, which gave just one icon per column.
  9. That sounds like you have a larger system problem, which you should probably fix before worrying about getting the Affinity apps working.
  10. Perhaps you have a Pixel Selection active, which would restrict the action to that selection. Select > Deselect from the Menu would fix that.
  11. The 2.3 retail and beta versions are the same code, given that they have the same build number (.2165). Does your problem happen in all documents, or only one specific document? Have you tried starting the retail version while holding the Ctrl key, and resetting the application? Just leave the default items checked and click Clear. This should be fairly non-destructive (brushes, etc, will be retained) but it will reset your Studio preferences/arrangement.
  12. That sounds like you are double-clicking on the installer file (e.g., in your Downloads folder), not on the installed application file (e.g., in Program Files). Clicking on the installer is the only time you'd get Uninstall or Repair as the prompt. That is probably what caused the problem. But if you use the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter that Callum and I have suggested it should resolve the problem.
  13. Trying it yourself may be best. Otherwise, these are the documented requirements from the Affinity Store:
  14. You should use the same kind of installer you used on your current PC. So what is that?
  15. What version of the Affinity applications are you using, and if V2 are you using the MSIX or EXE version of the installer?
  16. What font are you using, and if it's one you installed where did you get it?
  17. The trials are sometimes reset during a version, from what I've seen, but only Serif staff would be able to guess when that might happen next. But it's a good warning. Thanks for mentioning it.
  18. When do you get that message, and exactly what does it say? Just guessing (as I don't know for sure when you get it and what it says) but it sounds similar to one you can get if you've used some kind of application cleaning app on your system, which has deleted files that it shouldn't have. And in that case, the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter can often help. You can find a link to it in the FAQ:
  19. Another topic, and questionable contribution to this forum, as it has absolutely nothing to do with the Affinity products. If the owner of punster.me wants to allow it, that's fine. It does not belong here, nor do any references to it, in my opinion.
  20. How was it created/saved originally? Looks like it might have been a scan of something?
  21. That's a very off-topic discussion for this topic in these forums, and for the Affinity forums in general. I would respectfully suggest that it should be held elsewhere (on a VS discussion forum would be best), to keep this topic and these forums to their intended purpose.
  22. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. "Importing" is a vague term. You could mean that you're Opening the file, or that you're Placing it into an existing Affinity file. Can you clarify your process? Can you share the PDF with us?
