  1. One could use the Navigator to move the image and locate one of the nodes, then use the mouse for resizing.
  2. Publisher will work differently from Page Plus in many areas. However, what you describe in your latest post seems to be a way to modify the definition of an existing style. What you asked for at the top of this topic is a way to create a style, which is a very different operation. And that's the question that Aammppaa answered. If you're interested in modifying the definition of an existing style I think that would have a different answer.
  3. The Erase Brush Tool is the 8th entry returned for me when searching Help in Affinity Photo. Here's the entry from searching the online Help.
  4. You may need to type something in the Replace box, then delete it, in order to enable the Replace to work. At least, it works for me if I type a space and then backspace over it, before trying the Replace.
  5. You may need to select it with the Move tool, then Delete. Or delete from Layers panel. It seems like selecting using the Table tool simply selects a cell to operate on.
  6. I haven't found that option; can you show where it is, please?
  7. Can you explain that one a bit? We already had the "eye" icon for overflowing text on text frames. Does this refer to something else that has changed?
  8. Can you provide the original PNG file(s) so we can look at them?
  9. I see this has been improved in 1.7.0.128. Thanks! However, I think it could still be made less confusing. I like the prompt, but if you agree to locate the missing resources, you're still thrown into a file explorer dialog. Please consider simply opening the Resource Manager, instead. That way the user will feel more in control and can more easily see exactly what is missing and can work on them in an order they choose.
  10. The Background Erase Brush and the Erase Brush are different tools (though I do not know enough to explain the difference to you). Your problem with not finding the tool may be that it is not one of the default ones shown by Affinity Photo. You can use View > Customize Tools to additional tools if you need them.
  11. If you click on Help in Affinity Photo, and type "erase" (without the quotes) in the search box, you'll get a good selection of information on the various ways of erasing things. Or you can use the Online Help and make the same query. Though it will depend on exactly what you're trying to do, I might suggest starting with the Erase Brush Tool.
  12. The Affinity applications are licensed separately for each OS (MacOS, iOS, Windows) that they support, so you'll have to repurchase it specifically for Windows if you want to install it there.
  13. Perhaps that will come when the Publisher UI is available in languages other than English.
  14. I like the new PDF Export option "Preview Export in External Viewer" but it's misnamed. A preview should occur before the action is performed, which would mean that Publisher should make a temporary copy of the PDF document, pass it to the viewer, and wait for the user to approve the results before saving the final copy. With the current implementation (save then invoke the viewer) the option would be more appropriately named "View Export in External Viewer After Saving".
  15. There are other thread that describe what is happening. What is clear is that improvements are needed, and if I remember correctly Serif has agreed, but we don't know a priority or timeframe.
  16. Can you provide a screenshot of the setting you're talking about? I'm not sure where to find it.
  17. It does support that. You can use File > New Batch Job and select RAW files as the input and it will work. However, as the various Develop Assistant settings are not applied (or applied differently?) some users have reported sub-optimum results.
  18. Probably for the same reason that using raw files in a batch job gives less satisfactory results. Many of the standard assistants are not applied unless files are developed manually.
  19. In the example you show that didn't work, the Th is a ligature. Perhaps you need to disable ligatures, which would give you individual letters, in order to get the drop cap to work?
  20. Publisher has View > Show Text Ruler so perhaps Designer will get that when 1.7 is available.
  21. They all provide different capabilities, and depending on what you want to accomplish one will probably be better than the others.
  22. If you have the Artistic Text tool (or a block of Artistic Text) selected, you should be able to click on the Fill in the context menu, and from there choose the color you want:
