  1. Just a guess... You need to click on a page in the Pages panel twice to select it. You probably only clicked once. I've found that confusing at times.
  2. I haven't tried it with a multi-column text frame, but Publisher already supports placing one text frame on top of another and having the lower one week around the upper one. You need to start drawing the upper text frame outside of the lower one, add the text to it, then move it over the lower frame with the Move tool. Then, with the upper frame selected, specify the wrap options, which will apply to the lower frame. But I haven't tried it with a multi-column lower frame.
  3. A size like 15 cm x 10 cm is an absolute size. A ratio would show as 15 : 10, and with that one you could change the size of the cropped selection but it would maintain that aspect ratio.
  4. I think it is more likely to be an issue with clicking the button on the tab, as you can't be sure (with the low contrast) that the tab you've chosen is for the image that's currently displayed. But the menu-based options will always close the document that is currently visible. They could only have a conflict if you have floated image windows, but in that case all you need to do is click the image you want to close first.
  5. You can also do that in Publisher, though perhaps with more work. For example, you can use the Arrow tool to draw an arrow, then Layer > Convert to Curves, and then use the Node tool to adjust the shape. Here's an example (not a great one, but just to show it can be done):
  6. In the meantime, perhaps it would be safer to use File > Close or Ctrl+w to close the tabs
  7. Create your caption text frame somewhere outside of the initial text box, and put your caption in it. Then use the Move tool to position it with the image. Then Group the image and caption using the Layers panel. Then with the group selected, use the Text Wrap options to give the underlying text the proper flow around the image/text object.
  8. In the Text Frame panel, with that frame selected, "Ignore Text Wraps".
  9. I'm not aware of any configurable options that would do that. I think you'd have to apply such formatting manually. (Better answer from Aammppaa below this post.)
  10. Interesting. It does for me. (Though I'm away from my PC at the moment so I can't recheck that right now.,) In any case, for your original question you'd be zoomed in, and it would be bigger than the window, wouldn't it?
  11. It might be best for you to start by watching one of the tutorials. For example, Cropping: Practical.
  12. You can install your own dictionaries. If you search the forum for Hunspell you'll find some posts (for example, this one) that describe how to install them, and where to obtain dictionaries.
  13. You can scroll the window by dragging the Hand tool, or by clicking in the Navigator panel and dragging there.
  14. Text > Insert > gives you access to most of the available fields. You simply place your cursor where you want the field to be inserted, and choose the one you want. There are a few more in the Fields panel (View > Studio > Fields). Some of these fields are modifiable by the user (e.g., the name of the author). For the modifiable fields, you update the content by clicking in the field content box and providing the information. Some are not modifiable, and their content is determined by Publisher. For any of the fields in this panel, if you doube-click on the field's name then Publisher will insert the field's contents into the active text object at the text cursor location.
  15. There are several buttons at the bottom of the Text Style panel. The left 3 create styles. The middle 2 update existing styles. The users can simply select some text that has the style they want to use, and use one of the "create" buttons to create their new style from that selected text.
  16. Thanks, @Pauls. I see from the history in my test file that the problem arose shortly after I removed an unexpected gradient from the newly created text in the frame, so mine is probably also related to the use of gradients in a text frame.
  17. I'm a bit confused by that screenshot. It looks like you're in Document Setup. For cropping I would usually use the Crop Tool. Are you trying to crop (remove part of the image) or merely to resize the existing image while keeping all of the content?
  18. I think that GabrielM suggested Layer > Rasterize to Mask, not using Layer > Rasterize... or Rasterize... from the Layers panel
  19. Yes, Publisher handles that. After importing your text into the frame, you'll see the overflow icon (an eye symbol) and next to it a triangle icon. Shift-click on the triangle and Publisher will add the additional pages and text frames to hold the overflow.
  20. As there was no mention in the change log of fixing hyphenation, I would not expect it to work any differently in .128 than it did in the earlier betas.
  21. Thanks, @αℓƒяє∂. Have you verified that Font Manager still shows that there are missing fonts in that document?
