I can confirm this. Just damn terrible slow and totally unusable.
My computer specs are as follows:
I have still to use Photoshop. No issues with Photoshop.
Affinity Photo on MacBook Pro 2017 very slow
in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
