Hi, whenever I open a JPEG (from the network), edit it and safe as Affinity-Photo, I cannot do this into an network folder. I always get "not writeable". Same happens with Designer. I have to save it to a local drive and move it. Saving as JPEG, Exporting etc. works without any problems, it is only the native formats where it does not work. Cheers.

Memory Leak with Batch conversion?
PotatoCarl replied to PotatoCarl's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
nope it does not. -
Hi When I have a batch process (Macro: Do Auto Color, Tone Correction, Sharpness, White Correction etc.) over a large amount of JPGs, Photo eats up a significant amount of memory and swaps until disk is full, then crashes. With 16GB Ram it uses up 90GB on the disc, with 64GB Memory it just takes longer to crash. I starts to crash reproducibly at ca. 1000 files on the weaker machine. I often use automated processes on a large amount of files, so this is a significant problem for me.

Hi I generate for each set of photos a template. When I work then on multiple raws, the correct template is selected for all raws. However it is not applied. I have to select it manually again to apply it. Secondly, it would be good if a template including all settings can be included (tone, corrections, lens etc.), this would make workflow a lot faster and easier. Last but not least, a batch processing for a number of raws with given settings would be higly apreaciated. As I often have a number of similar raws that are treated identical, this would be incredibly helpful. Thanks.

Hi Happy New Year to everybody. Affinity Photo (1.6.5 123) crashed during contrast and filter operation. After a restart to do my work again, the tool bar "corrections" ("Anpassungen", don't know how it is called in english) is without function. I cannot select any of the quick buttons, e.g. Contrast (where usually things pop up like "darker", "lighter", "increase contrast") and of course the dialog itself. Nothing happens. And I only find the function "auto-contrast" in the menu, which is not helpful. How can I restore the functionality? Best regards

Interrupt Batch Process
PotatoCarl replied to PotatoCarl's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
Okay, the batch process seems to operate well in the background, didn't notice it so far. Still, a pause and stop button and a "save" option would be great. And/or to automatize this "automatically convert this folder...". Oh, and as we are at it: it should also work on the develop persona, so being able to process a bunch of photos at one. Yeah, I know, not the best way to handle raws, but sometimes "good enough" is better than the creepy JPEG functions of some cameras. -
Hi from time to time I want to batch convert afphoto files to JPEG. As those can be quite a lot, I would like to be able to pause and stop the process. Also, running a batch in the background would be nice, as far as I can see this does not work.

Hi I am wondering a bit about the enormous filesize the afphoto files are. I usually have raw-files and when I develp them the afphoto file is about 10 times the size. It seems way too much, as there could not really be more information contained. Is there a way to keep the afphoto files to a reasonable size? I am not requesting JPEG sizes (which are about half of the raw), but at last not ten times the raw files... Even with nowadays harddisk prices, it is pretty much blowing up the space needed here. Thankyou.
