I am taking a class from Digital Art Academy. The current assignment was to emulate Roy Lichtenstein, and I decided to create a portrait of Doris Day. I used an old photo as inspiration, and this is the result. I did the hard work (the outlines) in AD, and most of the fills in Painter 2016.
 
I wanted her to be excessively happy, rather than tormented as most of Roy Lichtenstein's women were.

All vector tried to create a realistic apple without using bitmaps.
 

Wow, such a powdery feel to it. If I touch the screen, will it smudge? ;)

A small project I do for fun: take some metal artwork and try to render them in a cute way.

Hello Everyone:
 
I just recently started using Affinity Designer and have never done anything remotely like illustrations/drawings before. I thought a fun way to learn the program is by trying my hand at something Star Wars related. I've attached a drawing of the new First Order TIE Fighter.  
 
I'd very much appreciate your thoughts and gentle critiques as I'm a beginner in this area and know I still have a lot to learn.

As above accolades, this is a brilliant example of what Designer can do in the hands of a master. It's technically accurate to my eye but even more, it's full of surface subtleties that takes it beyond photorealistic. Great job!

Ok I'm dreaming here but I'd definitely buy books on AP and AD to learn even more and keep as a handy reference. 

This is so good, that it just has to be printed on paper straight away! Why? Because just scrolling the screen at high speed, the message still gets across...that's amazing! I have three words to say about tutorials like this: MORE, MORE, MORE!
