  1. Hi Nigel, welcome to the forums.

There is no pie chart support at the moment: this is likely to be an APu feature. However, there is a workaround, which is a bit long winded, as it involves stacking multiple pie charts, with one slice each on top of each other:

    1. make sure that you are in draw persona.
    2. go to the quickshapes, in the left hand side tool bar.
    3. move your cursor to the box with the triangle, there you will see a tiny grey triangle.
    4. click on that tiny grey triangle.
    5. slide down the pop up menu, until you get to the pie shape.
    6. select it.
    7. place the pie chart on your page
    8. press command + j, for power duplicate (copy and paste in one go) once for every extra slice.
    9. use the red dots on the pie to adjust the vector size/position and rotation.
    10. now colour each piece with your chosen colours.
    11. Use the top tool bar to monitor and readajust your slices.
    12. Have fun!

    Hope that helps

  2. Hi guys,

I'm tempted to get the 610 as well, it's £45 for the 610 with accessories and a little bit dearer for the PRO model £10 extra say. The PRO edition looks identical, but lacks the glove and bag. Do I go for built in battery, or not? Which one should I choose? Any ideas? How was it for you guys?

  3. Deeds,

A few questions have yet remained unanswered this are:

    1. Have you used AD or APh to create anything?
    2. What is your artistic level? Mine is only tracing and pen tool. Photography and copy writing/wordplay is my preferred area (Self taught hobbyist and proud of it)
    3. Are you willing to showcase your art? We WOULD judge it fairly and still be NICE about it!
    4. Did you enjoy creating it?
    5. Was it better or worse than creating it/them using rival software?
    6. What is your favourite app of all time; paid for/free/shareware?
    7. Whose product launch, was perfect in YOUR eyes?
    8. Can you explain, when and where this happened?
    9. Could respond to these questions in a civil, polite and level headed way? Without the swearing.

By the way I do read VIZ, so I'm not offended by the words themselves (although others here maybe), just the direction and character assassination of of the people who do not deserve these comments!

Hope you can accept this olive branch and give us something nice to look forward to.

Free speech is both a right and a responsibility.

It's one thing, to have a sharp tongue: it's another to have a sharp mind.

Sometimes pinching ideas, from random places is a brilliant idea. This is called lateral thinking. Ever since the year dot, inventors have looked at Mother Nature for inspiration, shortcuts and answers to questions that weren't relevant. This is how so many questions got answered.

  5. Thanks guys, by making groups of individual hair/fur objects your able to move around 10 - 20 hairs at a time, then you can adjust the transparency, rotation, scale, etc of the group. It's pretty cool. So it doesn't take as long as it might appear to.  ;)

Great work retrograde (as usual). You've got this down to a fine art. In fact the make up industry uses the same technique...amazing-shine-individual-false-eyelashes

  6. Congratulations goes to Hilary, from our over 12s group. Who was the winner of our photographic equipment competition. With her cardboard telephoto lens. Our judges had a hard time deciding, whose was the best.

Nice concept, share the sea. What about expanding on it?

I've got a couple of pictures of a light boat, moored up near Colchester, if you're interested.

  8. This is so very interesting! The line style and color scheme reminds me of this show called King of the hill. I love that show. IS that Louanne with the scissors? haha

Hahaha, ronnie absolutely spot on again.

As for the picture itself, classy...pure product placement, for the 1990s MTV generation. This is very subliminal.

    Here comes the science bit.
