Join our design team, we have shed loads of talent here and here's where it needs to blossom. cartoonmike for the Stan Lee method ronninemcbride for the video method paolo for the all powerful brushes methos (that's King Paolo, if you're asking) Sunset for water colours me for the wordplay and tracing method not forgetting MattP for the ever so simple but ever so powerful hints and denironaut, eejits etc for the smile inducing art, etc. Seriously this forum is like an Arran sweater: close knit, fit for purpose, tough, enduring, classy and an absolute pleasure to be part of art. Affinity; the clue is in the name. -
This is sunset and paolo's territory; water colours and brushes (respectively). You should check out their work and download paolo's brush pack. My favourite? The charcoal sketch. Why? Sheer simplicity and elegance, as well as the fact that you make it look so easy.

Would look good above the baby's cot...oh hang on: I don't have one :P. I've got a pair of teens, can you do thunder clouds instead? LOL.

Noted means, they'll discuss it back at HQ and will decide what to do next...

Another amazing piece. I think that calls for an Eggy! Some fonts are custom built or tweaked. So getting hold of them might require buying, that particular font.

Hi Brian, welcome to the forums Try this...File>Document Setup, then go through all of the options; Type: print, press ready, photo, web devices Dimensions: page width, height, portrait, retina, landscape, portrait This list isn't exhaustive, but it should be enough to get you started. HTH If you read all the available options, you'll see that there is a wide choice of customisation options available. peter -

This is how Adobe Photoshop 1.0 fares today
peter replied to peter's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
...is the correct answer guys. I still think that between Version 3.0 and 6.0 a program/app is in its sweet spot. Whaddaya reckon? OK! Now go and have a return to your first Serif product (DrawPlus 2.0 for me) and see what you can do... -
Hi all, I've just been sent this little link: about a group of today's Photoshoppers, who were asked to use PS Version 1.0 and see how the slimline software started off. http://petapixel.com/2015/03/12/watch-as-photoshop-experts-try-their-hand-at-the-original-photoshop-1-0/ This should be a trip down memory lane for some and a history lessons for others. (Win XP/Mac OS 9.22 and Photoshop 6.0 for my first taste.) But more importantly, this a lesson for the APh detractors. There are plenty of things missing right now/on the roadmap. So go easy on the app's limitations: it's STILL useable and that's what matters B). So for a Beta, it's still better (Than PS V1.0)

Hi SuperBadger, welcome to the forums. You should chat to Rui_mac as he's from Portugal as well.

Nice. It's hard to let go of a project. A bit like a being a surrogate mum. It's not your baby, even if you did the hard work . That's why they pay you for your efforts. The fact that you want to tinker it again means you enjoyed the commission. Sometimes a logo has 5 or 6 variants (Facebook for example), all with the key ID markers: font, colour, size, background, border and outline etc. Each is the same, but subtlety different. So why not create/tweak the next generations and stock pile them, until the client wants the next season's logo? Strike whilst the iron's hot facebooks logo

What am I doing wrong?
peter replied to MikeFromMesa's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
This is exactly the same problem, that I get from time to time. I don't know how to deal with it, this is one for the dev team. As this seems to be a forum gremlin that just won't go away. You could ask: MEB - moderator, (first point of contact) MattP - staff TonyB - Boss HTH peter
