Splitting forums?
peter replied to krishna's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Yeah, good point. So why not colour code the title bars Blue scheme for AD Purple scheme for APh Orange for APu That way, you will know which app/area you are in. Ok, so it's a rough screen grab and the bottom bar should say Publisher and not Photo...but if the apps are colour coded; then why not the forums? What d'ya think peeps? -
Another one for the Affinity garage :D Keys please.

HI Greg There are no books at the moment :( However, there are vimeo tutorials, resources and some amazing pieces. As for the users here, you'll be able to get better advice from this guys https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/2422-daub-comics-basic-set-for-affinity-designer/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/4348-affinity-photo-for-digital-painting/ (the king of brushes) https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10052-pen-style-brushes/ Let's see what you can do...I've put my favourite pins on my Pinterest board... here's a few from it https://www.pinteres...inity-designer/ https://www.pinteres...-family-guy-tr/ https://www.pinteres...ets-the-eejits/ As for the various tutorials, MEB has kindly posted these links here http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/

Hi Richard, welcome to the forums In a word Yes! So long as the features that you want and need are in AD and APh. Some features have not been implemented yet; hence the road map to see what's coming up next. So you may have to use some work arounds  https://affinity.ser...opic/1689-faqs/ You can wean your self onto Affinity! It's gonna be worth it ;) Look at this from mystrawberry monkey... https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10056-menu-design/ and this from ronnyb https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/4262-flyer/ All this...without APu amazing eh? Let's see what you can do...I've put my favourite pins on my Pinterest board... here's a few from it https://www.pinteres...inity-designer/ https://www.pinteres...-family-guy-tr/ https://www.pinteres...ets-the-eejits/ As for the various tutorials, MEB has kindly posted these links here http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/ Should be enough to get the ball going. I use this: AD=Affinity Designer=Vector and Raster: (Illustrator) APh=Affinity Photo=Photo manipulation: (Photoshop) APu=Affinity Publisher=Desktop publishing: (In Design), due 2016 This clears up any confusion and is a handy short cut. This copies Adobe's style of naming, which also copies the periodic table abbreviations. As seen in the current US TV series Breaking Bad titles. peter

Where do you stand on B&W? Let the camera do it or let the computer do it. I ask this because, I like your work and have done some monochrome work on the camera... -

The cat's protection league has now pleaded for leniency and something to open all those tins of Whiskas and Kit-e-Kat... #SERIFSEIGE Head of Serif Labs, Tony B is tearing his hair out; looking for that unused Leatherman, he got on his 39th birthday.

Aah, No I don't have OFAH. I don't like it, but I am an 80s TV fan. I do own Goodnight Sweetheart (Where Nicolas Lyndhurst played a Tv engineer/time traveller/two timing/fake spy). See IMDB.com for Piglet files and DangerMouse. I am available for pub quizzes :P You might like these

Awesome! The job's yours, you're hired...get used to hearing that. Nottingham's only an hour or so away from me  I once did a menu for a local chippy in the late 1990s. This was done from their own menu, without a scanner, digital file or any idea of what I was letting myself in for! So armed with a ruler, Font Print Magic, DrawPlus 2 and the promise of a free meal next visit. I did it. I think I've still got the printout somewhere. So, as someone who knows...Be proud; you've earned it. You can't beat seeing YOUR work in print, on display, in situ, in public, in someone's hand :D Send a copy to Nottingham, on a brick via the window :P Roll on APu!
