  1. How different would the mood be, if the image had a sepia tone or even a negative image?
  2. I'm glad it was done like this. Instant tutorial! Now only the Spades, Clubs and Diamonds. Well Done.
  3. This is my tribute to Chris Froome and Geraint Thomas; who didn't panic when a Maccy D bag, got itself caught on Froomey's quick release skewer. On the final stage in Paris. All this happening on those famous cobbles; in front of the World's press and TV cameras. You can't pay for better product (mis)placement. McDonalds...you bet they're loving it. :D :D :D :D :D BTW The top of his wheel is a French frie. ;)
  4. Hi Justwilliam, Welcome to the forums. Nice avatar BTW. I can't draw either, but I can trace. :P The fact that you went from zero-to-hero in a matter of hours/Vimeo videos speaks volumes. As for not being able to contribute...not true. As you can now tell other newbies, with zero experience how to hit the ground running and explain to others in your own individual stye. Being in Sweden, you will be able to say how the Swedish Appstore (MAS) and translations are going.
  5. 's ok. That's the thing about AD: not having full printed tutorials; you know what you want to do, but don't know every step and are missing that one crucial step. That's the one that matters. However, there's plenty of help here...and that's why this forum excels.
  6. I know where I went wrong...no snapping. This is where you select the two edges, snap to, then join curves. This is better explained here... https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/8425-how-to-make-2-different-paths-become-one-path/?p=34571
  7. Hi uncle808us, This is an old request as mentioned last year... https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1813-spiral-tool/ I would like to see this tool too.
  8. Hi Miguel, There are a few more people around the forum, who would like to know HOW to create a new style. If my memory serves me right: you could drag a jpeg to a style panel, to add another style to your custom collection. This would be very useful for me...
  9. +1 There may be a work around... Draw your shape or use artistic text. Copy your texture to your clipboard. Select your shape or artistic text. Then goto the top menu (not right click/context menu  needs to be added.) Choose the paste inside option. Job done. HTH paste inside with glitter.afdesign
  10. I don't know the answer to this but...these are my initial ideas. What about designing a brush, with glitter (write with glitter method) Using a jpeg of glitter, then using your text with no fill - but with a thick outline (pastry cutter/die cut method) Write your text, then convert it into a stencil type mask. The letters are now holes (mask/stencil method) HTH peter
  11. Hi Krassmuss, welcome to the forums. What you're looking for is called joining curves. Press A on the keyboard. This is the Node tool. Go to the top of the screen, the look at the second bar from the top. Then goto to the word action. Here you will find, 4 icons. Click on the 3rd box, this is called join curves. HTH peter
  12. It moved when I blew on it!!!
  13. The colours work. I love the layout papers for APu.
  14. George, this is a Craig/denironaut question...from his big eyed yellow thing https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/3377-big-eyed-yellow-thing/
  15. Here's my machine...it only took 11 Affinity icon bounces in the dock; that's about 6 seconds. Hardware Overview: Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,5 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version: MBP55.00AC.B03 SMC Version (system): 1.47f2 Serial Number (system): censored Hardware UUID: censored Sudden Motion Sensor: State: Enabled HTH
  16. Putting aside, my own personal opinions on the substance...the pic on the right wouldn't look outta place in an ink shop tat gallery.
  17. Where's the food/drinks area?...She knows!
  18. I can help you with the fart jokes: it's a gas! it's a breeze! here's one I made earlier! Eejits:eject:emit! new knickers please! look, I am you farter (the German for father is vater! Pronounced varter.) Cook, cook, cookability: that's the beauty of gas (Toasted clown, anyone?) This is an offer, not to be sniffed at
