  1. Hi Johnny, welcome to the forums. It sounds to me, that you want to design a brush; using small circles and triangles to differentiate, between valley folds and mountain folds. Am I right? Don't forget, that you can always sketch your ideas on paper first, then photo/scan it and import it to this thread. This is an artistic forum after all. HTH peter
  2. You can report all bugs here. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/7-bugs/ Check first to see if it has been talked about already. If it hasn't, just click on the button, Start a new topic.
  3. Is this the right harbour? http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/05/ae/f3/38/ballintoy-on-a-rainy.jpg
  4. Wow! B) Bet you're glad you finished it now! That's more like it. The red glow under the text, carries on with the character's identity. It looks a lot better than my rough draft. (a bit too close to Spider-Man) This poster is now complete.
  5. Hi Bodo B. Dankeshon, ist es die Bilder, die mich inspirieren (Bing translator). Thanks, it's the pictures that inspire me.
  6. Hi SteinW, welcome to the forums. I don't know the answer to your question. Daub and Paolo are good with brushes, why not speak to them? However, sounds similar to the paste inside feature... create a shape select an image as the fill/texture copy that image to the clipboard reselect the object that needs filling paste! HTH peter
  7. Journey and mind map. But that's my gut reaction. There might be a better answer later on.
  8. Rip-off is a bit strong. I'm only a hobbyist and AD is still cheaper, than its Windows cousin Serif DrawPlus (only reason for having Bootcamp). AD is faster, slicker and is more pro than DP; it does have fewer features than what people want at the moment (Hence the roadmap) and less than a year old (October 2104) . AD is punching well above its weight. Not bad for Version 1, eh? This was one app I had to buy straight away...
  9. You have created a wonderful identifiable style. Each image works on their own, as well as together. I want to see this printed, as a box. I want to pick that box up. I want to buy that box of (Tea, biscuits or napkins). You have a wonderful sense of subtlety and sophistication. peter
  10. Or the front cover of Bel Canto's re-release White out conditions.

Here's a link to a couple of font sites, that should be quite useful. http://www.1001fonts.com http://www.1001freefonts.com/search.php?q=borg&search=search HTH peter
  12. maelstrom noun 1.a large, powerful, or violent whirlpool. 2. a restless, disordered, or tumultuous state of affairs:the maelstrom of early morning traffic. 3. (initial capital letter) a famous hazardous whirlpool off the NW coast of Norway. or Your film's new title and main character: featuring a mutant who has a very destructive temper, who lets her heart rule her head, when things get bad. maelstrom.afdesign
  13. Actually, that's pretty much what I had in mind. I like the date at the bottom. The main text and title text needs to be stretched more (maybe double spacing, for the title?); give it a metallic styling. The cast and crew text/placement is spot on. Give it another go, your poster will start to come alive... HTH peter
  14. Make this a tutorial now!!!! B) B) B) B)
  15. Wow! I'm amazed, fast response, slick performance and the ability to make it look so, so easy. But that's pure talent (yours!) and the power of AD. That's more than what I was expecting....I was only hoping for a ping pong style bounce across the screen. But hey! You go to the top of the class. Thanks! peter ps I wish I had your talent with art; however my talent is with wordplay and text/copy. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/9847-flamingoes/?hl=flamingoes https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1214-eejits/page-4 https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/6087-famous-logos-go-wrong/ So if you provide the art...I'll provide words...This forum is like that :D :D :D :D You may ask "Why is a wordsmith in a forum for artists? Well, in the world of advertising, image (still and moving) and text, are yin and yang!" One's great, but two's fanatastic...I feel at home here and very very useful!
  16. Got it! This needs a spoken narrative, say...Jon Pertwee (Dr Who/ Wurzel Gummidge), talking about his early life and his friends. This would be very, very typical of BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. These are the thousand or so words, that the speaker is saying to me. Whilst thumbing the edges of a tatty edged photo...What say you?
  17. Listen to your Muse...check. Produce great work...check. Any chance of putting some text, as this is begging to be poster/flyer art? This is a great style, stick with it. :D
  18. If this was animated as a gif, with the word HEART dancing around the screen, that superimposed on an illuminated light wall in Downtown Tokyo...how amazing would that be? Very!
  19. Gobsmackingly amazing! I've got a beer in my hand now and I'm toasting you! Lets hear it now... Three cheers for George; Hip, hip, Hooray...
  20. Affinity is part of Serif....so as a fan I can recommend http://www.serif.com/free-graphic-design-software/ So until Affinity goes over to the other side...this would be your best bet. Serif: you can't go wrong! HTH peter (using DrawPlus since 2.0)
  21. Hi Jboisy Brushes...hmm one name springs to mind B), Paolo! https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/5903-some-mess-with-chalksinks-and-watercolours/https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/3881-painter-packed-bristles-tool-for-ad/?hl=paolo https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10287-some-watercolours/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/6324-the-roadrunner-show/?hl=road%20runner
