  1. From today the spell checker recognizes only the English language. The last time I used it in my language (Italian) it worked perfectly and that was 2 days ago. I tried to change the main language in the PREFERENCES section and reset it to Italian, but everything was in vain and the problem remains. Does anyone have a solution on this?
  2. How is the compatibility with MacOS Catalina? Should I wait before updating the Mac to the latest OS?
  3. I should first update my Mac again (I restored the previous version from backup), only I have a job to complete and I can't do it before 7 days. in addition (as described in another post) a PDF export problem appeared in a file created after the Mac update and, with the restore, it did not return to work and I had to recreate the file from the beginning
  4. I confirm that the problem derives from the update of MAC OS. I downgraded to the PC, I completely recreated the file (if I used the one done after the update, the problem continued to persist) and now everything is back to work. Therefore, before updating the Operating System, the Affinity programs must be updated
  5. I used the "LATO" font for the entire document. The document has 14 tables, 5 free texts and a text box, all formatted with the "LATO" font. As described above, if I delete what is written in the text box, I can export everything, even the font used is the one described. If I add text to the text box, the error appears. This problem, along with the one I reported in this post appeared after the MAC OS update. I hypothesize that the compatibility between Affinity products and the iMac has decreased, so I reported the bug, to allow Affinity to solve the compatibility problem with a rapid update
  6. After upgrading to Mac OS 10.14.6, I have problems exporting to PDF format. I created a file in Affinity Publisher of a single page containing some tables with texts and a text box with 3 lines of text. if I try to export in PDF format, a generic error window appears that simply tells me that some error has occurred that does not generate the PDF. I did some tests creating a new file and copied every single element of the previous file and for each pasted element I exported to PDF. in the end I noticed that the problem is in the text box: if I create the text box and export without writing anything or writing a single and unique letter of the alphabet, the file is exported to PDF, if instead I add a second letter of the alphabet , the system gives the error described above.
  7. After updating to MAC OS 10.14.6 I encountered a problem in the display of the tables. In practice we only see the table, but we do not see the matrixes of the lines (vertical black band with line numbers) and the matrices of the columns (horizontal black band with the alphabetic letters that distinguish the individual columns). All this makes it extremely complex to work with tables. the row and column matrices are there, but they are invisible. (See attached images).
  8. I use the HELVETICA font, which I have been using for years and has no problems with subscripts. actually I did a more in-depth test trying to write the code of a working garrison. The code in question is G14 (without any subscript). Strangely, Publisher wrote the 14 as an automatic subscript. So, since I wanted to try to write the symbol of oxygen, I deleted the 4 and written 2, but even here, tiring, the 2 was not a subscript but as a normal text, while the 1 was still a subscript. I do not think it depends on the character, I think it's actually a bug
  9. For now i found 2 bugs: In the text I found problems with the subscript: I tried to insert the most common subscript, the O2 symbol of oxygen, but the No. 2 was completely impossible to include it as a subscript The tables are extremely unusable. I have to create a simple check-list consisting of a single row and 2, 3 or 4 columns (I create single-row tables because I graphically insert one of 1 mm between one line and the other (the space is colored with the color of the box background where I create the check-list.) The measurements of the table are pre-established (height x length - 5mm x 60mm), the one that is the measurement of the cells The first cell is always 5x5 mm (acts as a checkbox) The other cells have variable lengths depending on their content. The problem I encounter is precisely in the cell size setting. If you resize 90% of the time by hand I can do it, but it is very cumbersome. CELL of the table dialog (simpler and immediate system), I can not resize almost never Take the example of the first cell with dimensions 5x5 mm, if I try to increase or decrease the height, the system responds, but if you try or to decrease or increase the width, here is the problem: I write 5 mm and the dimension stops at 6.3 mm, or 6.8. I try to use the darts of the size box by pressing the down arrow and nothing happens, not re-sizing, except in some cases where despite I press the down arrow, the cell becomes larger. We need a system, for the tables, that allows you to set the measures of the table (which do not change if I add, or remove cells or rows) and to block the measurement of one or more cells (assuming to have 4 columns A, B , C and D, if I can block columns A and B for example and add an E column, the only columns that will be resized, respecting the total size of the table, will be columns C and D
  10. What do you think of the idea of creating a pdf application similar to ADOBE ACROBAT?
