Ron P. got a reaction from mopperle in File preview STILL not working in explorer or Affinity with OneDrive saved files (works with CorelDraw)
You're only reading and accepting what would serve you. It's been posted, the Recent aspect of AP, is part of the application. The Open dialog is not, it is the OS explorer or finder, whichever platform is being used. It's just that simple!! Windows (MS) for unknown reason(s) is not seeing the thumbnails, once Onedrive seizes it.
You think that Serif really wants to spend the tremendous amount of money, a lawsuit against MS would bring? Really? Then why have they not? I really don't think they can justify that expense to satisfy you, as you seem to be about the only one complaining.

It's about this simple. Use the Warp Group at the bottom of the Layers Panel..

What type of input device are you using? Mouse, Pen/Tablet, Touchpad? Can you provide a screenshot of your Settings>Tools? In that tab do you have Use Scrubby Zoom enabled? In that tab do you have Use Mouse wheel to Zoom enabled Also have a look at this post to see if you're running a third-party app that might be interfering

I'm able to replicate this. It seems like the redraw is getting confused when you show/hide the layer.

I'm almost completely convinced it's the Hair/Fur Brushes. I can get the current Beta to hang using those brushes. However I've since tried with various other brushes and Designer will start lagging behind, but does not hang.

@panhors, Try adding the Luminosity Range Mask to the Adjustment Layer(HSL), instead of adding the Adjustment Layer (HSL) to the Luminosity Range Mask. In other words, nest the Luminosity Range Mask inside the Adjustment Layer.
@kat, I don't know what you've got going on. It seems like you have masks, nested inside of yet other masks. Just a little above my head. I try to keep things, like using masks, simple. Someone with more experience should be able to help you...

If I'd stumped up 1800 quid for that lens plus the body plus a sturdy tripod plus a gimbal plus someone to carry it the last thing I would use is Photo with lensfun correction. I couldn't find it on DxO, maybe Capture One or Adobe but why not use Nikon software? If that lens ever makes it into lensfun I'll eat my chapeau

That reminds me of the old dial-up days when you would be cut off after two hours’ continuous connection and you were lucky if you could sustain a download rate of five minutes per megabyte, so unless your browser supported resumption of downloads it was impossible to download any files larger than 24 MB.

(See attached video) I am playing with Filters>HazeRemoval, adjusting Expose Correction and Distance on a separate pixel layer.
I turn visibility off -> darker areas of image turn bright ==>OK.
I turn visibility back on -> areas that should turn dark briefly turn dark (as they should) then they turn bright again, ignoring the current haze Removal adjustments.
I haven't figured out how to show floating APh windows (like the Haze Removal sliders) when screen recording, but the window with the Haze Removal sliders should show on the bottom right corner.

What method do you use to resize your brush?
The Square Brackets.. [ ] ? If on Windows, Holding down the CTL + ALT keys while Dragging? If so, You need to make sure you drag Side to Side (Left-Right or vice-versa) for Resizing. Dragging Up-Down changes the Hardness. A lot of the brushes in AP V2, the Hardness adjustment is set in the brushes and can not be changed.

Where is the file located? On a local drive, NAS, USB External Drive, Cloud? Serif has stated it's always better to work off a local drive, then back-up to the others.
Do you have Hardware Acceleration enabled or disabled? It's enabled by default. A quick way to disable it:
Hold down the Control Key while launching Affinity Photo. The Clear User Data dialog will appear over the splash screen. There are 2 sections, the top section is where the option is located. You can uncheck the top 3, however you need to check the 4th one, Disable Hardware Acceleration Press the Clear button in the bottom right, and Photo should continue to launch with HA disabled. If this doesn't help, please post back..

Problem with Drag + Rightmouse on Windows, RightMouse click produces a menu, it's an OS thing. I use this a lot.
What does work here, is Pressing both, Right Mouse & Left Mouse, holding while dragging. So it would be Drag + RightMouse + LeftMouse.

Control Clicking on the Mask does not give you a selection (marching ants) in AP? Works fine for me. It's not double-clicking but it will provide the selection.

    Hi @Kimo,
You don't say which OS or App your using? Also need to know what version of each.
    For Windows:
Press and hold down the Control key, then launch the Affinity App. You should see the Clear User Data dialog. There's 2 sections, just pay attention to the top one. The top 3 options are checked by default. The Fourth is the Disable Hardware Acceleration. Check the box to it's left. Press the Clear button in the bottom right. The Affinity App should continue to start.
