  1. I tried deleting that bad link, but couldn't. It still shown in my post. I didn't realize I could hide it, so I've now hidden it and edited out the request to delete it. Thanks
  2. A little more bizarre, it would not Cancel, instead it restored after clicking the Hand strangeCropDev.wmv . Clicking it again showed the Cancel warning. Tried to do the crop steps again, same thing.
  3. I'll bump this up. LR uses this and makes working through the settings easier, and faster. Even though most of the dialogs have a reset button, it may reset all the sliders, when all I need to do is reset one of them.
  4. I look at it as a bug. Since it works in the Develop Persona, and doesn't in Photo, it must be a bug in the Photo Persona. Or it's a bug in the Develop Persona. I would like it to work in the Photo Persona too.
  5. I've tried searching all over for what the newly added assets panel is for, and can not find any advice. I see it uses an .afassets file, whatever those are. Could someone please provide some insight? Never mind, I think I finally figured it out, by venturing into the Resources forum. Thanks.
  6. FWIW, I use LR 6.14 and tried to replicate Ian's noise issue. I don't see it when I send an image to AP 1.6 from LR. Of course I developed it as far as I normally do in LR, including Noise Reduction. I tried it with an image of a sky that I had under exposed where there is more noise. Sending it to AP, and then viewing it at 100% I could not see anything different from the RAW in LR. The images are sent to AP using 16 bit TIFF ProPhoto RGB, no compression. I don't know if Ian is using a Zip compression, which is the only compression offered by LR. I've attached the settings used in LR and a reduced, JPG image of how the image looked in AP. I had to scale it down to upload, the TIFF was over 100MB, and would have taken forever to upload on my primitive snail speed internet connection. Decided to run a Zip compressed TIFF from LR to AP, in AP I could not see any difference. However to upload the 2nd image I exported from AP and not LR, and just discovered a major difference in color. I didn't do anything to the image in AP, just exported it. Ok checked the second one, and used the ProPhoto, so changed it to sRGB and the color looks better.
  7. Compared to other tablets, Wacom tablets are not inexpensive. I use an older Intuos 3 small. It has 4 buttons and one long "slider" button on the left side. I have one of the buttons programmed as the ALT button. On my pen, which also has the rocker button, I have the bottom rocker button set as Right-Click. I can change the brush size and hardness using the ALT button on the tablet along with the Right-Click on the pen, then dragging the pen the same as a mouse.
  8. I'm not seeing those problems. Exiftool does launch with the current Beta. However I don't know why 2 of them.
  9. Affinity Photo is giving you the original, or actual size of your cameras sensors. Other apps like LR throw away the extra pixels at the sides.
  10. That's easily seen just by doing the math. My 70D is reported (sold) as a 20.1MP, 5472 X 3648 = 19.9 is what LR and others say it is. AP shows it as 5496 X 3670 = 20.1, which is what the advertised mega pixels are.
  11. I done a Program Reset, checking all boxes in the dialog, and that fixed it.
  12. Hey I found one of them. Clicking on the Hamburger menu, top-right of layer panel gives you Small, Medium and Large choices. Haven't found the assets panel yet.
  13. Well mine doesn't do exactly that, but it closes down, also can not move the adjustment bar, as you posted earlier. It just slams back to the middle.
  14. Using the CTL + Drag to clone objects produces multiple clones when it should just make one duplicate. CTL Drag Clone.wmv
  15. The Copy from Clipboard layer is an Image Layer. Needs to be rasterized, then the merge works as it should.
  16. I also use a Intuos 3, and see what you mean. The only way to be able to drag an object was to zoom in to at least 132%.
  17. That's correct it doesn't. However holding down CTL + ALT + Left AND Right mouse buttons, then dragging Left or right will change the Brush Size, dragging up/down changes the Hardness. It seems a little awkward when you first try. Keep using it and it's really not bad.
  18. Welcome @joshua1187 to the forums, You're link leads to an Fstoppers page but doesn't explain much. I followed a link at the bottom right to PixImperfect's YouTube channel and located a tutorial that I think you're talking about. The Layer Fill in Photoshop is a Opacity/Transparency adjustment. It functions a little differently than the Opacity adjustment. For more on that you can READ THIS I'm not sure how to go about this in AP. I've tried following the tutorial. AP does not have a Fill Opacity adjustment. I did play around with the Luminosity Shift on the HSL adjustment. I set each Adjustment to the Blend Modes asked for (Color Burn and Color Dodge). It doesn't appear to respond the same as the Fill in PS. I also tried using the Blend Ranges, accessed by clicking on the small Cog in the lower-right corner of the adjustment dialog. It seems to help a little. I know I didn't get the result you did.
