I've been using LR 6 for a few years now, since dropping the subscription. I generally don't have problems passing files between LR and AP. Are you starting with RAW files in LR? If not RAW files, what are you selecting in the dialog? As you are probably aware, formats other than RAW, you can choose to Edit Original or Edit Copy. In both cases the LR adjustments will not be visible. In your screenshot, I noticed that the box beside Stack with Original is not checked. It's of course personal taste to choose to have them stacked, but I've always found it easier to keep track of those edits, especially for comparison purposes. As far as the color labels, if LR produces a copy to edit in AP, then those are not going to have the color label, they're separate files.

editing gradients
Ron P. replied to Sweatman's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
No in that very first one, where you have the video cued, he's using the Transparency Tool, not the gradient. He first fills the curve/shape with yellow, then he has the transparency tool selected. EDITED I watched the cued part starting at 12:31. This is what he does that makes it appear as though he's using more than one gradient on the shape. Which in essence he is. Completes his shape Fills with white Changes the Blend mode to Overlay. This gives it the yellow color. Grabs and uses the Transparency Tool. Groups the Shape. You can see this by the Blend Mode changing from Overlay to Passthrough Uses the Transparency tool again, this time in the opposite direction. Thus he's now applied it 2x to the shape. The Transparency tool is basically a gradient, %100 Opaque, which is White, to %0 Opaque, which is black. -
Edit > Fill... fills too much (and a thumbnail problem)
Ron P. replied to walt.farrell's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
I'm attaching a couple of screenshots, showing an inconsistency with the edit-fill. It seems that the edit fill, fills the canvas, but that's not completely true. Using the placed image routine, if the image is placed greater than the document size, it's filled but not trimmed or resized. If it is less than the document size, it is increased to the document size. -
Edit > Fill... fills too much (and a thumbnail problem)

@Chris B, The image layer being rasterized is doing some weird stuff though. Even though the placed image is smaller than the document size, when it's rasterized and filled, it then becomes the full size of the document. Shouldn't the fill be restricted to the dimensions of the placed image? I've experimented with this, starting with a fairly small document size, then placed a very large image. So far I've seen when the assistant rasterizes, the placed image is trimmed to the document size OR the fill goes beyond the document dimensions. -
I'm not sure if they have the problems with the Radeon cards fixed. I do know they had problems even getting cards to test. So I think you not being able to enable HA, is due to Serif not allowing them to be. Your card fits into this series: Please note: AMD Radeon RX 5000 series and later cards are currently incompatible.

Thank you for providing the file. I've tried replicating your issues and could not. -
Miscellaneous keyboard shortcuts are not saving
Ron P. replied to Operator21's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
That probably is a bug, because it should save it, however the Apply to All is so that assigned shortcut is applied across all the personas. https://affinity.help/photo/en-US.lproj/pages/Workspace/customizingShortcuts.html -

Embedded Document > Save As… disabled
Ron P. replied to ronnyb's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
That's a trashy opinion, that wreaks of someone that has very little subject matter knowledge. Yes, Serif forgot to get their apps approved by you before releasing them, what a shame. -
Have the Layer(s) selected you want to lock. Then on the far right end of the Layers tab is a Padlock icon. Press it. You should see a padlock appear on the right side of the Layer(s) you have selected. This only prevents moving/repositioning of those items in those layers. You can also Lock Groups, and individual object within Groups and Layers.

Some brush suggestions
Ron P. replied to ladlon's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
@ThomasHelm, I think you posted in the wrong forum. This is for Affinity Photo. This needs to be in the Affinity Designer for Windows. -
Welcome to the forums @Christian Lavin, Could just be me, but I think it's the other way around. The image on the right, Camera Raw, which is PS, appears darker. Could you provide a screenshot of the Assistant Manager>Develop Assistant ? Unless you have all of them set to Do Nothing, A Photo will apply a tone curve, and Exposure Bias, which will affect your image from the start.

I don't recall that in APhoto. The only other way to resize a document, not using any of the above, is with the move tool selected, dragging on one of the circular nodes around the image. There's 1 in each corner, then 1 in the middle of each side. Sorry I'm not finding what you're after. Maybe one of the experts will know what that is, and where to find it.

Unless you've customized the tools, the Paint Brush Tool (hoovering your mouse over it provides the tooltip), is located between the Paint Mixer Brush & Gradient tools. Also when you find it, you'll see it's one of three on a fly-out menu, all of which have the same (B) shortcut. Go to Preferences>Tools and the second option from the top, check the box beside Use Shift Key to Cycle Tool Groups. That way when you're using another tool and want to go to the paintbrush tool, if it's the first one up, ie: showing, it will be selected. You would need to hold down the shift key to select another tool on that fly-out (has the same B shortcut).

Welcome to the forums @TimMark, Could you be thinking about the Crop Tool? The context toolbar allows you to specify width and height. Other than that, there's the Transform Panel, which by default is found in the lower-right of the UI. If you don't see the Transform Panel, go to View>Studio> scroll towards the bottom and make sure there's a check beside Transform.
