  1. Ok, I'm at a loss, sorry. I've been trying to replicate this, but so far no crashing, freezing nothing.
  2. What Retina Rendering setting in AP Preferences are you using? Low Quality, High Quality or Automatic?
  3. That's the correct behavior. To manipulate the pixels of an image the layer needs to be rasterized, ie; Pixel Layer. If you Place an image and want to manipulate the pixels, simply right-click on the Layer, Select Rasterize.
  4. Are you wanting to replace the common Paste keyboard shortcut of CTL + V with Shift + Insert? If so you can, it works for me. The most basic Windows shortcuts for Copy/Paste is and has always been CTL + C / CTL +V, not Shift + Insert. But like I stated, if you want to change them you can. Just go to Affinity Photo Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts. Then change the drop-down menu in the upper left from File to Edit. Then scroll down to Paste. Select the Shortcut in the field entry box on the right of Paste, (after clicking on the X to clear it), and type the keys you want to use. In your case, press the SHIFT key followed by the INSERT key. Close it. Now when you press the Shift + Insert key it will paste. If that's not what you're wanting can you please clarify.
  5. Yes, but there finding that a lot of those are due to outdated drivers. This catches people, because HA is turned on by default. My opinion is they should have it turned off by default. Then instructions be provided to turn it on. If the program crashes, then ensure your drivers are updated. Not just by using Windows Update, but going to the manufacturers website and downloading the most current. I would not install 1.10 if you purchased it from MS or MAS, because there's no way to roll it back. If you purchased from the Serif store, you can always roll it back.
  6. Seems to work fine for me also. Have you tried other photos to see if it might be a problem with just that photo? Is that your photo or one downloaded from the internet for say a tutorial? I'm asking because it looks somewhat familiar to me, like one provided with a tutorial, and was really a bad example file to use. Could you attach you afphoto file so we can try to find why it's not working for you? I've attached one of my Canon CR2 (RAW) files, that I've just tested the haze filter on. Try applying the filter on it, it should work. If not then there's something on your system we need to look at. Also attached is that CR2 file after I developed it, showing that the Haze filter does work. Arkansas_Vacation-173.CR2
  7. On my PC you can't add columns in list view. It can be done in Details view
  8. Only way I know of is manually. Create a textframe, then while looking at the EXIF metadata, type it in.
  9. You can use other brush shapes. Click on the More button in the context menu, and in the dialog window that opens you can alter the shape, rotation, size, flow, spacing, ect.
  10. For what it's worth, the last 2 options under the Output drop-down menu, New Layer, New Layer with Mask, provide Color Decontamination.
  11. Was it by design in the 1.9 versions or with the 1.10? This is what @WMax70 is pointing out. Why would they change it, when it did recognize and honor orientation, to not? Makes no sense at all.
  12. Sadly, there's no way to set a default unit. It's been requested for a few years now.
  13. It's called humor, a joke. Jokes used to be common to lighten the mood, cause people to laugh. I guess that's no longer allowed.
  14. I had 2-guides per rectangle, 1-vertical, 1-horizontal. So 10 rectangles x 2= 20 guides. Yes, I'm dragging the guides from the rulers. I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly. I'm not really paying any attention to the layers panel. It's when I'm dragging a guide, when my cursor gets over a square, there's a thin border that sort of highlights the rectangle, so you know it's the object that is receiving the focus. Then when I"m at the center of the rectangle, you can tell it's snapped, and the guide changes color. 2021-08-10 12-02-31.mp4
  15. I just tried again, this time with about 10 rectangles, and it works. Just make sure your cursor is over the rectangle, and you'll see when the shape gets focus. The guide should snap.
  16. Where are you installing them? Windows default is in the Windows/Fonts folder. Affinity uses that folder, nothing specific, unless perhaps you're using a Font Manager.
  17. Just tested this, In the Snapping Manager, check the box beside Snap to Object Bounding Boxes AND Include Bounding Box Midpoints . I think that should do what you want it to. It did for me.
  18. I recommend using Libreoffice. It's a full office suite, just as powerful as MS Office, but has about the best price, it's open source.... free!!
  19. In Ashampoo Commander: Right-click on your image to bring up the menu. Scroll down to Open with External Program When you hover your mouse over it a fly-out menu will appear Select Add Program A navigation dialog window will appear. To the right of the top box (Path), click on the Folders Icon. It will open a Explorer(Windows) window. Navigate to where you have Affinity Photo installed and select Photo.exe. Click the OK button. When you want to edit a photo just right-click for the menu and select Affinity Photo in the menu. Just a note, these sort of hand-off's to external editors are generally setup in the app that you want to take your photo from, in your case it's Ashampoo, and not the app your sending it to, Affinity Photo.
  20. Your welcome. APhoto is just another way of posting Affinity Photo, or we just the abbreviation of AP.
