  1. Yes I did see what his cursor was pointing at. However this thread is about the Artboard tool tip showing Rectangle, and not Artboard? In my example if I hovered over the layer inside the Artboard, which is an Ellipse, the tooltip states Ellipse. I created it by creating an Ellipse shape, then using the Artboard tool, in the Context toolbar, I choose Selection from the drop-down, and Insert Artboard. It's an Ellipse, but for some reason the icon looks like it was clipped by the rectangular shape of the Artboard.
  2. No it does not. Did you hover your mouse over the # to the left of the Artboard? It still will show Rectangle.
  3. Works fine for me. What happens when you press the enter key? Nothing? Is the filter applied if you press the Apply button? Are you ensuring the image you're wanting to apply the filter to, is a Pixel Layer and not an Image or RAW layer?
  4. Ok, here you go, some video tutorials explaining how Blend Modes Work in Affinity Photo YouTube Blend Modes Also I've played around with your samples. Not really knowing what the result is to look like, I think just working with maybe a Curves Adjustment to increase contrast? It also makes a difference when using Blend Modes, which one is being blended into the other. If you tried with the B&W image on top, then flip them, put the color on top and experiment with the blend modes. You might also have a look at the Blend Ranges which helps tweak them. It's a very powerful tool.
  5. There's no way that I'm aware of to do that. As you've seen, the Hardness is based on a Percentage of the Width. I think the Hardness would need to be in pixels like the width to do what you're wanting.
  6. Yes that can be done. Pressing the More button in the context toolbar at the top, then go to the Dynamics tab. There's a Harness Jitter you can set. https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/pages/Tools/tools_eraseBrush.html You can change the Width and Hardness (on windows), by holding down CTL + ALT then dragging Left-Right for Width, Up-Down for Hardness
  7. Oops, I should have looked at the date(s) of DanC's post. I need more coffee before posting
  8. Welcome to the forums, Yep, unfortunately LibRAW does not support it. So until LibRAW supports it, AP can not.
  9. Try Pressing the Tab key. I see all those greyed out when the Panels, left/right studios are hidden. You can also go to View>Toggle UI.
  10. Just an update. I've been toying with this since it was reported, and stokerg was able to reproduce it. I'll go through about 10 attempts before quitting. This is several times daily. It's only crashed 2x. Very strange at first it would easily crash, and repeatedly. Also I've not experienced AP crashing, and I've tried it numerous times too.
  11. Just type in the Keys you want to assign to be a shortcut. Sorry, I meant for the Customizing Keyboard Shortcuts link above. https://affinity.help/publisher2/en-US.lproj/pages/Workspace/customizingShortcuts.html YouTube Video on Customizing Shortcuts
  12. See the online Help for Publisher2 https://affinity.help/publisher2/en-US.lproj/pages/Workspace/shortcuts.html
  13. Try changing the setting for Tablet Input Method, found in Settings>Tools. There's 3 options (for windows), Low Precision, High Precision and Windows Ink.
  14. Works fine for me, just like Serif designed it to.
  15. Go to View>Customize Tools, it's at the bottom of the menu. Then you can add/remove icons for the tools you want by dragging and dropping, and also the number of rows. I have mine set to 4 Rows.
  16. Nah, no need for that. They'll see it, and then more than likely, advise you that what @walt.farrell posted is correct He pretty much knows these things.
  17. Adding to what @Komatös posted. In AP there's an icon found in the Context Toolbar which enables / disables Pressure. In AD it's found under the Controller drop-down in the Context toolbar for Vector brushes. 2023-06-17 10-43-10.mp4
  18. If it's a bug, I'm not able to replicate it. My machine specs in my sig. Here's a screen capture of what I'm seeing, using the file you provided. My memory 32gb barely reacts, and the CPU does nothing out of the ordinary. 2023-06-16 06-38-30.mp4
  19. You have another issue occurring on your machine. Serif states Affinity apps can not crash a system.
  20. The only similar toggle I'm aware of is the space bar in windows. Pressing and holding the spacebar invokes the Hand/Pan tool. Release it, and you're back at the prior tool. For example if you're using the Pen tool to outline an object, and you need to move the canvas. You don't need to select the hand tool to move the canvas, then select the pen tool again. Just press down the spacebar and hold it.
  21. How about trying Clipping? https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/pages/LayerOperations/clipping.html I think everything should work the same on Mac. 2023-06-13 22-55-09.mp4
