  1. Welcome to the forums I think this is what they're referring to. It seems it is for adding document(s) to an existing one. Affinity Publisher-Merge Documents
  2. Welcome to the forums @DanE3108 I haven't worked with or even dabbled with the Scaling feature in Designer or Photo. However after reading your post, investigated this in the Online Help for Designer. By the way which apps do you have? Designer, Photo, Publisher? I think the Scaling in Designer is what you need. The Scaling function in Photo works differently and geared towards resizing Photos. Affinity Designer-Scaling
  3. Did re-installing the apps fix the crash for you? Have you done like Stokerg recommended, by doing a clean install of your graphics drivers? FYI, if you have an Nvidia card, they just released another update a couple days ago.
  4. There's a bunch of them on YouTube: T-Shirt Designs using Affinity Designer 2
  5. If that's what happened, then sadly, no there's no way that I'm aware of, to recover what was there. Going forward, a good workflow practice is to Save Versions of your file. For example you start out, File_001.afdesign. Then when you next save, it would be File_002.afdesign, and so on. That way if something, like what has happened to you, you have a file that is closer to where you were last. There's numerous different naming conventions, like including the date in your file name, 02242024_File001.afdesign. Also if this is your job, you rely on this for a living, then you should be backing up your files to other places. It's imperative. I don't use cloud services, but do have several external hard drives that I use.
  6. I wouldn't put much, if any faith/trust in what ChatGPT or any other AI reports, when it comes to troubleshooting. You aware of the major problem with Google's AI, Deep Mind?
  7. Yes I do. This is what I discovered, Affinity's Time Stamp does not match what File Explorer shows. Affinity Designer Recent Files-List Mode Windows File Explorer I realize the date is not being altered, however notice the big time difference. Don't know if Windows is at fault or if Affinity is.
  8. Ok, got it. I've been trying to replicate this, however can not. Saving the file, overwriting the previous, should give you your last saved version, OR present you with the corrupt file warning. Essentially what you're describing is a corrupt file, and you probably will not be able to open it. At this point I would proceed with searching my entire system for that file and files similar. I don't know how many you may have, but I would just do a generic search for all afdesign files. In your search bar type in *.afdesign. I still think your most current file is on your system somewhere, unless it's been deleted. Oh that reminds me, do you have any software that would cleanup, delete files, like CCleaner? There's others but that one is more popular.
  9. Ok, we need some information so we don't go in circles guessing. What OS and Version are you using? You say you save it in your Downloads? Have you checked what Psenda posted earlier about the Recent Files dialog? Could you possibly attach the afdesign file so we can investigate it further? If privacy is an issue, you can wait and Serif staff can provide a dropbox link.
  10. Well I haven't investigated if Affinity apps could apply a time/date stamp to the file when it is accessed. That could account for the current date. Since OP was saving their work, it just makes no sense how everything done just vanished. I really don't think that the app deleted all current content, except some that is a month old. Could it be possible some content was linked and those linked objects/files are now missing?
  11. Anytime you use Save as, the apps will prompt you for naming and location. Once you save an affinity document (afdesign, afphoto, afpub), then just choosing to Save will automatically over-right the last saved. So when you chose not to save and then re-opened that file, you should have been presented with all work done up to the last Save. Is it possible with this project, early on, you could have selected Save as, and Affinity used a different location to save that file. Or could be sometime in between. What I'm suggesting is the most recently saved file is located somewhere on your system, and you might not be opening it, but the older version. By chance to you save to a network, external drive, cloud drive? Have you checked those?
  12. I can confirm this. FWIW, it also crashes in the current Beta version.
  13. Not what I see... Oops, opened Designer V1 and discovered it's called Outline Mode...
  14. Welcome to the forums @Uguefran The Corner Tool is not found in Affinity Photo, only in Affinity Designer.
  15. In your second screenshot above, the white rectangular area you're seeing is the canvas. As Walt pointed out, you need to add something, that is then reflected in the Layers Panel.
  16. I'm on Windows 10, and I don't see this behavior. The recent files lists are different.
  17. 😮😮 How long ago did you buy it? Currently they cost $1,599 (US). The Wacom Cintiq tablets are the expensive models, always have been. I'm not a pro (don't rely on it for income), and I'm still getting by with my Intuos 3 small. It costs me about $400 years ago. Wacom tablets are not inexpensive, and for a reason. They're very reliable, and of good quality.
  18. Hi @RacerSoul, welcome to the forums There's no Invert Mask in Designer. There are some workarounds.
  19. IF it is a bug, it's been around since V1 and is still present in the current Beta.
  20. I recommend creating a Studio Preset for your two monitor setup. See the online help for Creating Studio Presets That way if/when this happens, you can reset everything back to the default, just by going to Windows>Studio>Reset Studio. After resetting, you can easily get back to the setup you had by going to Window>Studio> and selecting the Preset you created.
  21. I tried replicating @sgmcgee1967 issue and can not. I did note that OP is using a wireless tablet. Mine and I think @debraspicher's are wired, USB. I wonder if it being wireless could affect it. I'm thinking this as I use a Logitech MX Master 3S, wireless mouse. Since my PC does not have Bluetooth, it uses a USB wireless. There's been times my mouse will stutter, I haven't had it lock up, but could tell something was interfering. Just a thought..
  22. I think what you're running up against may or may not be a bug. It's what Walt posted about in your linked post... This behavior when inverting the selection, using your recipe, still produces the odd shaped selection in the current Beta. However if you start with Artboards instead of a canvas you will not get this. Trying to work with Artboards from AD in AP or for that matter in the Pixel Persona of AD, is very tricky and quirky. As you've found out, you don't always get the results you think you should. My suggestion, if you want to wait around and see if Serif fixes this, and keep pulling your hair out fine. I think it's much easier just to avoid that, and start with an Artboard instead of a canvas. Starting with Artboards you don't have this selection invert problem.
  23. I opened the OP image in both AP 2.3.1 and the current Beta 2.4.0.2256. AP 2.3 reports the size as 4736 x 3132 and shows the smearing AP 2.4 reports the size as 4692 x 3132 and there is no smearing. FWIW, Corel PSP opened the image showing the 4736 dimension and the smearing.
