  1. @GarryP I think what the OP (and now I) are trying to do is get the vertical lines to snap to the curved shape above it. I've tried all the snapping settings and it refuses to snap to the shape of the curve, like in the OP's video.
  2. You using a mouse or pen tablet? If you're using a pen tablet that has recognition of various dynamics such as pressure, there is a setting on the Dynamics tab, Tilt. Using this I think could do better for you than any shortcut. 2022-08-26 02-04-25.mp4
  3. Is this what you're wanting to do? I used the Pen Tool to outline the badge shape. Then used the Node Tool (it's located on the Pen Tool fly-out), to push the lines into the curved lines for the badge. Then simply hide the background. 2022-08-23 03-42-55.mp4
  4. According to Google Translate, that's Gradient Mesh, which none of the Affinity apps support.
  5. What app or you using, Photo or Designer? Is your document using a Transparent Background? If not, then what you'll see is the canvas, and it appears as though as your shape is opaque. In Designer, go to Document Setup-Color, check the box beside Transparent Background. In Photo, go to Document and select the Transparent Background.
  6. Here's another file, where I moved the bride & groom up in the glass. I also used the opposite approach on the mask. Instead of painting out what was not wanted, I started with a black mask, and painted in. infront_white_wine2.afphoto
  7. I done a quick video using your file. This is how I would approach it, others will have different ways. 2022-08-17 18-08-08.mp4
  8. A few months ago I thought I would try to add up all the feature requests that have been submitted from about 2017 to present. I gave up at 3,000. These are unfulfilled requests. So where do think this CAD would fall?
  9. You're file shows what you done. Simply create a mask for the bride/groom layer. Then using the Paintbrush, paint out the areas you don't want, leaving them inside the wine glass. I just took what you had a little further, and masked over them, allowing the liguid line, to show over them. Also using a brush opacity of around 10-15%, and Flow around 20%, I painted over the lower parts. I think this further enhances the illusion of them being inside the wine glass, partially submerged in the wine. infront_white_wine.afphoto
  10. Are you using the Selection Brush Tool ? If so, pressing and holding the ALT key on Windows, changes to the Subtract Mode. Once you release the Alt key, you're back to the Add Mode.
  11. Here's another way to create frames (borders) using Affinity Photo. You can use Designer also.
  12. This would be the same as reading Canon's Camera Profiles for their digital cameras, which Affinity Photo does not. There is a Feature Request and Suggestion forum. You can search to see if someone has already made such a feature request, and if so, add your vote for that. If not then add your request to the forum.
  13. Yep, because it's not Adobe Photoshop. Isn't that why you think it's wrong? Affinity can do similar things as Photoshop, but does them differently. Since Affinity is a different software, you need to learn it, just like you had to learn Photoshop.
  14. Are you using a Gaussian Blur Live Filter ? If so, make sure the box in the upper left of the dialog beside, Preserve Alpha is checked.
  15. Does the text you're duplicating have the background color? To remove the background color, open the Character Studio. 2022-07-26 01-50-02.mp4 Here's the On-Line Help for Designer, DEFAULTS
  16. Welcome to the forums, Have you tried Camera Bits Inc's Photo Mechanic? It's far from being a toy. Used by the top photographers in the world.
  17. The immediate preview of the changes being made. When you move a slider, you see on the image what is changing, without committing it first.
  18. I see Jerry W.'s comment as the typical stereotype of men, at least here in the US. We don't need to read instruction manuals, and we certainly will not ask for directions to our destination, no matter how lost we may be. It's just not manly. FWIW, he has figured out the difference between PS and AP, and what he thought was AP not working. Why press him?
  19. Welcome to the forums @PCGEEK, It's unknown if they will. It's been one of many requested features for sometime. Affinity Designer Trace Image
  20. So far I still use the now ancient, perpetual version of LR. It still works for me, well because I haven't updated cameras. I know it does not handle the newer Canon Rs and similar. Don't have one, so it does not affect me. However like RichardMH, I'm happy to use a third party app, like FastStone, XnViewMP, to quickly look through images to use in AP. Serif seems to almost have their plate overloaded trying to get the bugs out of the apps they already have.
  21. Need to voice your request/demands with LibRAW, as Serif relies on them for these profiles.
