  1. Your Welcome Please stay safe, weather doesn't look good over there.
  2. Welcome to the forums @Sarah Griessenboeck, How about something like this? 2022-09-19 02-28-19.mp4
  3. Have you tried View>Studio>Reset Studio? It's at the very bottom of the Studio Fly-out menu.
  4. The Tolerance Slider only works with the Bilateral Blur. Affinity Photo Online Help Frequency Separation
  5. Referred to as the Highlights. Try the Live Shadow/Highlights Filter, or a Curves adjustment. You may have to do some good ol' Dodge/Burn.
  6. Welcome to the forums, With the Fill Tool, play with the Tolerance setting in the Context Toolbar. The Default is 20%. Try upping it to say 50 or even 100%. With brushes look at the Opacity & Flow settings. You might also click on the More button in the context toolbar for a brush. There's a Accumulation setting that could be adjusted to get a 100% Saturation. Some brushes set Wet Edges by default, try clearing the checkbox beside it. This is found in the brush context toolbar, far-right end. Affinity Photo On-line Help Flood Fill Tool Paintbrush Tool
  7. No longer available through Serif's store. You may be able to locate one on Amazon, but be prepared for price gouging. Designer's workbook can be had for 3x the MSRP. 😵
  8. Could this be what you're wanting to achieve? Brighton the greens & black in the shadows? 2022-09-16 01-55-07.mp4
  9. If that user visits the forum you can simply highlight the name by preceding it with the @ symbol. Like this @twojtyniak, that notifies the person there's a post directed to them...
  10. My EOS 70D has a little flip-up flash, and the flash hotshoe. Currently have a few Yongnuo flash, and a good off-camera flash setup. I can set up my Youngnuos, with whatever modifiers I need, and control them from the remote TX on my camera. They can be a little time consuming to setup, and you don't really want to use them if you have much wind outdoors. However they allow for grabbing some great images. Way better then the flat images with on camera flash...
  11. Modern Digital Cameras/Flashes are different. I've bounced flash, off ceilings, and walls numerous times. Most of the modern flashes have a nice little "card" tucked into them, just behind the top of the flash head. Pull it out, to through some light straight ahead. If not, the rubber banded 3x5 card, or just holding a business card up does the same. I learned about using a black foamy thing, from Neil van Niekerk. Used one for some time. Works great..
  12. Welcome to the forums, Affinity is not an Apple product. It is a Serif product, that Apple sells in the MAS, and in MS stores. Are you just wanting a signature line, as in text-like, for your email? Are you wanting something more that contains graphics, images, ect? I'm not a MAC or Apple user, but I don't think Serif (Affinity Products) have any control over what can/can not be copy/pasted into Apple's products.
  13. Sadly I can not locate in the Affinity Photo Help an entry describing this. So here's a screenshot. It allows you move, resize, contents (images, shapes, ect) inside a group. In the screen shot I have clipped (nested) the image inside a rectangle. The rectangle and image are grouped. On the right end of the Context toolbar is the Lock Children option.
  14. By your screenshot it appears that your image is a Child of the Rectangle. So you might try checking the Lock Children box on the Context Toolbar. You need to have the Rectangle Group selected in the Layers Panel to have that option available. Then like Old Bruce posted, using the Move Tool you should be able to resize it.
  15. I don't think you need to add a Black/White Adjustment. Add the Outer Shadow FX Duplicate the Layer On the bottom layer, set the Fill Opacity to 0 Uncheck the box beside Fill Knocks out Shadow.
  16. You linked to this (your) post.. Also that person that you linked to their post, is a Staff Member, Lee Thorpe This may not, and probably doesn't have anything to do with the flickering. Do you have the Clipboard History on? If so try turning it off and see if the flickering stops.
  17. Hi @Cathy Mason and welcome to the forums, Go to View>Studio, Reset Studio.
  18. No you should not need to repurchase it. You did go to the correct platform, MAC vs Windows, on Serif's site, and did log into your account there? If you purchased it from Serif, it should show all the purchases, and downloads you have made. Are you signing into your account at Serif's web store, with the same username/email, that you used when you purchased? Did you purchase it from the MS/MAS or from Serif? If you purchased from MAS or MS store you would need to download from there. Vice-versa, if you Purchased from Serif and are trying to download from the MAS or MS store it won't work. However purchases from MAS or MS do not provide a license key.
  19. How many dots are in an image being displayed on a computer screen? NOT PIXELS, Dots. Printers make physical splatters of ink on a physical medium, paper, metal, glass, cloth, ect, so it needs to be instructed how many of those is required for the size to be made on the medium. I disagree, it's only lost because people choose to belief false information. Sadly there's way to much of that going on. Not that difficult to change, just stop drinking the kool-aid, as we like to say.
  20. I think I've got it figured out. Both the wavy line above and the verticals must be selected Then using the Alt modifier, select just the very top nodes of the vertical lines With Transform & the Snap-Align Nodes of selected curves, activated, move the upper nodes of the vertical lines. 2022-09-02 03-24-09.mp4
