All adjustment layers have built in masks. Since V2, (I think), they are hidden with the adjustment. Grab a brush, make sure the adjustment layer is selected in the layer stack, and start painting. The mask will appear.

I see the same thing. First thought was due to the image might be 32 bit, however is not the case. I recall sometime back where applying the Vivid Light blend mode on 32 or even 16 bit images would do this. However not the case here, since it's ok until the mask is added.

Whaaat? I don't agree with that statement. It just means Symbols are not functioning as the OP wants in his situation. But if you think Symbols are useless, perhaps Serif should just trash the whole feature, remove it, erase it from everyone's memory... 😄

Welcome to the forums, So far I'm not able to replicate this behavior. I run Windows 10, so I'm not sure if it could be a problem specific to Windows 11. When using Save or Save As, the file should be an afdesign file. Are yours? Did you create your designs starting with a new document in AD, or did you import from a third party like AI? Where are you saving your file to? Local HDD, USB drive, Cloud? Try selecting a different location and see if it corrects the problem. When you elect to Save or Save As, this opens a Windows Explorer navigation window, which is not an Affinity window. The document should be located in the folder you selected. I ask this because it's not clear on what you mean by, my saved designs. Is that a Folder on your system that you created? Affinity apps, to my knowledge, are not capable of just deleting, sending files to the Recycle Bin.

I used AP, but I think you should be able to do it in AD too. It's not difficult, just break it down to shapes. Transparent document. Rounded Rectangle (shape). Tear Drop Shape. To get it to match the tear drop, I had to convert to curves and play with the curve nodes/handles. With that you're about 80% there. Just need to apply some color. Since you have (and I grabbed your image), just use it as a layer to grab the colors. The Tear Drop uses a Radial Gradient, Light Blue to White. The Rounded Rectangle uses a Linear Gradient. A darker blue to a lighter blue at the top. To make the Tear Drop stand out, just play with the Outer Glow and Shadow layer effects.

I'm running Designer on Windows, and that online help is for Designer on Windows. Do like the instructions suggest and you will get that menu. I didn't know it existed, until I read the help about it, and tried it.

You can find the Fade command under the Layer menu. Whatever you just used, be it the Patch tool or others will be appended to the Fade command. Are you wanting the selected curve or object to be in the new Layer? If so with the object/curve selected, Alt + click the Add Layer icon in the Layers Panel. A new Layer will be created with the selected curve(s), object(s) inside it. https://affinity.help/designer2/en-US.lproj/pages/Layers/manageLayers.html

The default is set to enabled, so if you've had problems and disabled it, after updating / upgrading you would need to disable it. Have you recently udated your GPU drivers? Nvidia just released an update 537.42 within the last week (9/21/2021). Have you thought about running the Studio Drivers? They do have the Studio drivers for your GPU. I run the RTX 3070 and use the Studio version, and (knock on wood) have not had any issues.

I'm seeing the same in all versions of AD. It doesn't matter if all the settings, Hardness, Flow, Spacing, ect are correctly set, the Erase brush in the Pixel Persona, does not fully erase. 2023-09-26 04-24-27.mp4

Have you tried doing a Control run up? Press and hold the Control key while launching Designer. You will get a Clear User Data dialog window. Clear (uncheck) all options, and select the Reset User Content Migration option, found at the bottom of the top section. Press the Clear button, and let Designer finish loading. You should get a prompt about migrating content from an earlier version. Does this get your Assets back? What OS are you running, Mac or Windows? Where is the Resources folder located on your system? Is the assets file a *.propcol file? In MSIX version 2 Affinity apps the propcol files are found: %USERPROFILE%\.affinity\Common\2.0\user That is the location for Windows systems. If you are running Windows, can you attach a screenshot of the contents of that folder. Should be a bunch of propcol files.

Yep, I can confirm this. AP crashes 100% of the time when trying to delete a preset in the Develop Persona.
