  1. Thanks Alfred - got that now, just coming back to have another crack at this after a week away, yes last week I was getting results as seen on the lower curve of your sketch, I see what I need to do now,
  2. Thanks Toltec, may try that way of doing it as struggling to close the edges of the curve together to make a shape!

Hi Callum, yes that's about right, i guess the gradient is neither here nor there really, I just dont know how to fill down to a curved line, the line runs right across the canvas, effectively cutting it in half. I'm trying to make a banner that is similar in design to this business card (see image), so I have the seascape photo as back ground layer, I have drawn a curve in a layer above, and now want to fill above the curve with the purple colour
  4. Hi I am designing a banner for my website. I have a background photograph. I have drawn a curve with the pen tool in a layer above this. I now want to fill a colour gradient above this curved line. How do I do this? I am a beginner with Affinity so please explain in simple language if possible! Many thanks Andrew
