  1. First impressions very favourable. It look beautiful, very clean and sensibly organised. Opening pdfs is remarkably glitch-free, the only thing lacking is guides but given that they wouldn't have been exported to the pdf in the first place that seems entirely reasonable. Not sure whether there's any possibility of a smart-gridding feature that throws guides in based on content and once Indesign import comes online it would be largely unnecessary. If I were to make any suggestions it would be merely that the text flow handle was a bit hard to spot at first and possibly a little higher up the text frame than I was expecting. Love the auto pop-up tab bar, but found the manual tab markers a little hard to see on some screens.
  2. I'm afraid that I've only managed to create an image brush so far. I've tried to create a basic hachure in the brush editing panel but without success, am I looking in the wrong place? Sorry to be such a dullard, I've not had much spare time to go through things in detail.
  3. Thanks so much for this Matt, that does the trick. I did try the pressure curve and it worked beautifully but I need to constrain it to draw straight lines, is there any way of doing that?
  4. Possibly a bit of a niche question but I'm an archaeological illustrator and the only obstacle I can see to moving my Illustrator workflow over to Affinity is the drawing of hachures. I've created a single hachure image in the image library, and whilst it's really simple to apply and adjust, the fat end of the hachure projects a little beyond the baseline from which it projects and I need it to start from the line itself (see attached screen grab). I'm assuming that I've made an error in the way I've created the image but for the life of me I can't work out how to correct this. Any ideas gratefully received.
