Hi people, Did anyone notice that the shorcuts in AP stop working after some time?? It is something that had happened a lot since the first beta... I didnt figure out when it happens (apparently for no reason). The only way to get it back is closing the app and then lauching it again. Reminous

Hi there, Yes, the red box it is larger than 1000px. Maybe I didnt understand how you guys intended the crop tool... Please correct me if I am getting it wrong: The crop tool should obey the value set in the propery fields and not the size I am "drawing" in the canvas... otherwise what is the point of setting a value/size in the crop tool properies?? What I'd basically expect from this tool is that it follows the proportion of my drawing (the way I drag the tool on the screen) but set it (crop it) with the value I placed into the fields earlier. Not sure if I was clear... Thank you anyways for checking out this issue. Reminous

Hi there... there is what I did: 1) opened a large picture 2) placed my design from AD (copy & paste) 3) added a layer 4) set the crop tool to 1000px x 1000px (more a less where the red mark is - see attachment) 5) checked the canvas size hoping it was 1000px by 1000px and it was larger File & AP version attached. sample.afphoto

Hi there... I just found out the "stock" feature into AP. I am just wondering if there is any way to configure the stock photo I like better, or if we can opt for purchase the choosen picture once we find one that suits our need. I am saying that because there is no referrence for the pictures we place into the design neither in the "stock" panel or "layers" panel. Reminous

Hi folks, I am not sure if I used the crop tool correctly... I set it to crop a document 1000px x 1000px and started working on my design... when I checked the image size it was showing 1989px x 1989px.

Oh yes... I does work, I can change the layers the way I want then export... However, in my case the document does not behave as in Photo Persona once I interact with layers panel is it a bug or the way you guys designed it to be?

Yes! I've seen it... but when I a try to set the layer I want to be visible, it does not work... nothing happens no matter what layer I set visible or hidden... Am I doing somthing wrong??

I was working in Photoshop another day and I double click in a smart object layer to edit my vector into Illustrator (something most of us do very often right?) - I was super excited that instead, Photoshop oppened the file in Affinity Designer (yes, Phoroshop does it, it calls the app you set as default for certain/specific types of files). I did the change I wanted by I could not save it to update my PSD file. So, I had to copy and paste it back to Photoshop as I perfect smart object. Problem solved, however I am wondering if we could have a way to just save it in AI... We could improve the integration with Photoshop (I know we got the AFF Photo), and also target a huge Photoshop users that are still addicted to Adobe. Does it make any sense?

Hi there, Whenever I am in Export Persona and a want to export a different set of layers I have to switch back to Photo Persona, choose my layers (make what I want to be visible or not) and then switch again to Export Persona... Is there a quick way to do that? The Layers panel does not seem to be working as I need in Export Persona or I am doing something wrong? Thanks for any thought, Rodrigo.af

Unfortunately I dont have a track to all of them, but I am pretty sure it happened with futura, univers family. I had this issue with at leas a dozen others.

I did fix that by going to each problematic font and disable them from my system... In my case it worked well, took me some time but it is normal now so I cant even have a screenshot anymore, sorry. However I remember that the fonts that showed problems were random, most of them had huge blank spaces beetwen its characters that's why the dropdown was that large... The weird thing is that I never had that kind of problem elsewhere. Anyway, I agree with the idea that it was a font problem, thanks a lot anyway!

You guys were right... I found four fonts that had spaces between its name that was making the dropdown behave like that huge width. Thanks a lot!

Does it happens with anyone else? I took the screenshot from the Beta Version but it also happenes on version 1.1.2 if I am not mistaken...

I agree with rounded retangle... I was actually wondering about that other night... on the beta we have a corner tool, and a rounded retangle that does basically the same thing... I would have a handle (those red dots) in all shapes, and corners - making it available from Node Tool and then get rid with corner tool... more like Illustrator CC way. The hole thing would be intersting as well... I feature unique compared to its competitor... it woud be nice being able to set a hole, even funnier if we could edit its hole, changing its rotation, size, sides, etc. Good idea! Peakke! :)

Funny to hear that... I was just saying that this morning (were you in the room??). How about drag and right click to duplicate an object, or double click for rotating and skew? lol... I don't want to praise a competitor, but I have to say that CorelDraw has its charm... bugy or not, it is an excellent application... Anyway, Affinity has a lot of potencial to do for the Mac what Corel did for Windows!! Go AD!

Yep. I like Illustrator way... It was never intuitive, a friend had to tell me that otherwise I would never, never find out lol. CorelDraw has an interrestintg approuch, the last object you select is always the "anchor". Whatever the AD developer team decide will certainly work better than right now :) p.s.: Align shortcuts would be great too... I guess CorelDraw is the only one who does it at the time... In Illustrator I had to create an action to center a object in the page for example. That is another thing to consider in my opinion!
