  1. Hi folks, Can anyone tell me where is the "Arrange Button" now? I can't find it on the new Beta... Thanks, Reminous
  2. I also noticed the difference between the zooming from 1.4.2... It's hard to explain, but I guess the video says it all. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0l3G3IVExUWZGd1d3JoeE1xdHM Reminous
  3. Can't say what happened earlier, but it is working now... I'll keep in touch if something come up! thanks a lot.
  4. Dave, The option is there, however at least for me, it does not change the behavior either in AD 1.4.2 or AD 1.5 (BETA 2). First I thought I had to restart the App, but even so it does not take any effect. Am I doing something wrong? Reminous
  5. Hi Dotlyc, You could apply a regular stroke to any object or font, then apply and outline effect... If you need more than two outlines, I guess Callum method would suit you better until multiple effect is not here yet... Reminous
  6. Hi boomer, To do that with stroke you have to mess with its settings... take a look: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0l3G3IVExUWeHlETktlRUNrZU0/view?usp=sharing Reminous
  7. I agree 100%! Actually I was wondering about it another how simpler it would be if we got the "scale with object" checkbox, placed on the transform palete.
  8. Hi MEB, I suspected they should work the same way, however, unless I'm missing it, I can't find the lock children in AF the same way I see in AD. I made screenshots from AD and AP. Am I really missing it? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0l3G3IVExUWOTh3ODlicmc2dVU/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0l3G3IVExUWR1dDT3pjUEJ5OFU/view?usp=sharing Reminous
  9. Hi MEB, This method works in AD, however I can't find this in AP version 1.4.1... Can you help? Reminous
  10. R C-R I have to say that I was first very annoyed by that, then when I was told what it was, I kinda like it. However if we think better, why do we have to know who is the candidate? I have to agree that the current way is distracting and should only appears when moving/dragging an object close to the snapping candidate... Reminous
  11. Hi cmalani, Another quick solution would be group all the objects and applying the Outline Effect from Layer's panel. Reminous
  12. Agree! I like the CorelDRAW concept... over the color: right click for stroke and left click for fill color, simple like this.
  13. Hi AmpedAndy, Please take a look at this video and let me know if I got it right. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0l3G3IVExUWZUhiSXQ2RXRKc1U Reminous
  14. Hi Bill, I don't recall any software I ever used with such tool, however that is what I always do: 1) Create one line 2) Duplicate vertically more instances as need by draging and pressing ALT key and Command J to Power Duplicate 3) Use align/align vertically with "auto distribute" unchecked to refine the line spaces Once you get the lines in place is just a matter a choice how it will look like (dotted, gray, width, etc) The whole process take just a few seconds. 15. Hi mczilla, I'm afraid this feature was not implemented yet... however it seems it is already on the roadmap. If you are new in AD, you can learn quite a bit in their website under tutorial link. Reminous
  16. As I mentioned this method may not work for all cases... The only solution I can think of then is trimming the objects one by one since we don't have a knife tool yet.
  17. Hi JackofDiamonds, There is a way, but I guess it won't be practical for complex objects... The trick is to expand the strokes, then select all the objects and and divide them. In my tests notice that all the opacities are lost in the process, maybe it should be a good review for the developers. If somebody in the community have a better idea I'd love to learn it... 18. Hi there, I created a pretty complex artwork for a postcard using some effects and different strokes width... Then my client asked to make a poster and I realised that all my strokes and effects won't behave the way I needed. To avoid having to go through all the objects I'd like to know if there is some kind of "global scale with object command"... If there is not, I guess it would be a good feature for the coming versions... Reminous
  19. Hi decimate555, This was the fastest and simplest way I could think of in this case... I hope it helps. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0l3G3IVExUWaklDbGtxTUFOUUE Reminous
  20. Hi there, I think would be nice have an option to export font and assets along with the latest version my Affinity artwork. It's perfect when sending a file to a bureau, other artist, client or for backup. Reminous
  21. Hi there, I'm just wondering if those weird purple strokes also shows up for no reason with someone? Does anyone know how to make it stop? Reminous
  22. Hi John, I guess you will find everything you need once you access the export persona mode. I'm pretty sure it has similar features such as you described... You can access it by clicking on the third button on the top left of Affinity. Reminous
