  1. I ran the Affinity Designer trial for a day or two, set it all up the way I like it -- window layout, preferences, panes, tools etc. -- then purchased the software. I now have two versions of the software, Trial and regular. The settings from the Trial version did not migrate to the purchased version. Two questions: 1. Is there a way to "export" all the UI and preference settings from the Trial to the purchased version so I don't have to go through setting it all up to my liking again? 2. How do I "uninstall" the Trial version so that it removes all the now-superfluous Library entries and other files that are no longer required? Sorry if this has been covered before. I wasn't able to find an answer in my searches of the various help files and forums. Mac 10.11.6
  2. I'm having to click twice. I don't know why, but if I click just once it stays "lit." If I click twice on either end it works as you described.
  3. Thank you for responding so quickly! Y'know, before coming here for help I tried exactly what you described (suggesting that the feature may be described as "intuitive") but it didn't work. When I dragged the "unchecked" end, the other end would move, too. After reading your reply I went and tried it again. At first I got the same result (didn't work) but I kept trying. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I'll spend some time with it later and see if I can figure out what I'm doing wrong.
  4. I tried that, but couldn't find a way to make a line fat at one end and skinny at the other. I'm looking for a way to simulate a brush gradually lifting off the canvas: the line retains a certain thickness for a specified length, then, from that specified point, gradually becomes thinner until it reaches the next specified width (or just thins out to zero -- essentially a point). Is there a way to do that?
  5. In case Serif is prioritizing feature implementation based on user demand, please add my vote for what pbass is describing. Quick handle symmetry and handles snapping to grid are both important to me. I now understand that the first part can be accomplished with the shift key (thanks for the tip, MEB!), but it's still slower and less predictable than simply pressing shift while dragging one handle and having both extend out together.
