Hi GarryP, thank you so much for the advice. I tried it, on both when I double click and when I try the run as administrator it appears in the background processes for a few seconds and then disappear.

Hi Carl123, thank you for the advice, I do have a 2nd screen and I've done what you suggested and still nothing. RM10 I"m not sure I want to uninstall my Affinity Designer just to reinstall it to get an update.......

Hi there, I have a problem, I've been trying to install the new Affinity Designer update but it doesn't want to. When I open my Affinity Designer tells me that there is an updated press ok or download, I pressed download and it takes me to the download page. I select download, the new update downloads but when I click and double click on it it does nothing and when I try to open it as administrator it asks permission and after that nothing. I have restarted my laptop and I have not received any error msgs. I'm sure I can continue using Affinity Designer without the new update but I would like the new update and this is the first time I've had a problem like this. Hope someone can please help me....

Hi Reglico, I've also tried that yes, but with that, it gives me the little pop up asking for permission and after I click yes nothing...

I downloaded it a few times to see if that would work and it's still not working. I don't understand this is the first time I've had a problem

Hi Alfred, thank you for the reply. It's not giving me any error msgs. I have rebooted my pc and it still doesn't want to install. it looks like the little loading wheel starts loading and then nothing....hope I'm making sense?

Hi there, I'm new here and I'm not sure if anyone has posted about this but I need some help. When I export a project to psd and a friend tried to open it in Photoshop they got the following message: There was a problem reading the layer data. Read the composite data instead? Which makes the whole file into a solid image. Which doesn't help because not everyone uses Affinity Designer and I'm loving it and not willing to pay the monthly subscription to Adobe Suite, the USD to Rand conversion is a bit much. Can someone please help me resolve this problem. Oh yes I have tried all 3 presets when exporting, (PSD - preserve accuracy, PSD - preserve editability and PSD - Final Cut Pro X) and they keep getting the same message in Photoshop.
