I feel you. We moved our studio back to Adobe. Illustrator and Photoshop are not perfect, but better than Affinity Designer, Photos and Publisher.

They do that for Illustrator, Photoshop, ... on iPad Apps. But the thing is you can trust that Adobe will there for a long time. Affinity file format is closed, no other app supports it. Serif fixes bugs so slow and many bugs are there for years. I have to trust a company to build a complete workflow for me/company on a product. I use Affinity for small, not important projects. For big, serious projects i have still a Adobe subscription.

Sorry, but LOL. Only Serif knows how much they need to break even and develop new features. The full price is moderate and really cheap compared to other apps.

And where is the problem? Everyone gets a upgrade price. You can look at it as a upgrade price, new users look at it as a promo price.

If the price is not right, you don't use it for pro work then u can use Inkspace. 80€ for a "pro" vector app and use it for couple of years is like free. For 2 years it's around 4 € per month.

You get a upgrade price. 40% off the new price. Simple. Old price of Affinity was not sustainable. Everyone that works in this field knows that. It was a way to penetrate into the market. Prices go up.

I bought my car couple of years ago, now for the newer model i pay 30% more. Same brand, same model, just newer. I don't get a discount. Hm. If 50€ is too much, stay on v1.

You paid 50 bucks and used the app for couple of years. Where is the problem? For v2 you get now 40% off and this is ok. You will again use the app for couple of years. You should get that money in 1-2 working hours. Some people are just funny.

They didn’t solve that in 8 years so ...

Ventura beta builds were out for last 4 months and Affinity was not ready for the final build?! Sorry, this is not OK. 7 months ago was the latest build of Designer. There are many bugs and no updates to fix this bugs.

They have much work to do to fix all the bugs before they can go to work on 2.0. The apps now are to buggy for real work.

Designer/Photo launches slower than Illustrator and Photoshop 😂 on M1

I have the same problem on MacOS Big Sur 11.2 The panels behave strange, can't resize them verticaly, ...

I think the picture shows everything. Latest Big Sur, latest Designer.

I see the same behaviour. Macos 11.2 and 1.9 Designer.

Hi, i see this bug in all Affinity apps. New file window, Save window is overlap by panels.

Can we please have this fixed?!?!

How can it be RC1 and the expand stroke bug is still not fixed after all that time... One of the main things of a vector design program is still broken.

Expand stroke still not fixed Will it be in 1.7 or we have to wait for this crucial function to work as it should till 2.0 or later?

Beta for 1.7 is not ready for prime time. This is for sure. There is still the bug with stroke to outline conversion that no pro app should have and many other bugs. It's true, Affinity should have more updates per year (bug fixes). Not like now, 1 update every 1-2 years.

When can we expect this to be solved and work as it should? It's a real show stopper
