My Affinity Designer is set to re-open documents on startup, and every time I have to manually zoom to 100% on every one of them. Inexplicably the unchangable default is "fit to screen"

I'm requesting a pass at battery life savings for the next version of Affinity Designer on Mac. Seems to use a lot even when I'm not actively using the app if I leave it open.

So make the betas use a beta .plist file? Sounds like a cop out. We're talking about the trial (your one and only opportunity to convert paying customers) which should be directly upgradable within the app - but if that's not possible then at the very least the new version should use or import the preferences. It's an absolutely terrible user experience to put on your paying customers, making them potentially lose all their assets and having to reconfigure the entire application including hotkeys and preferences. In fact your own "please upgrade" email states you can "pick up where you left off". Not good at all tbh

This is a very common action for me and is not anywhere else in the UI. Adding an export button to the touchbar for it is a perfect use for it, rather than duplicating buttons that already exist elsewhere on the UI. Another useful button would be toggling the application UI.

This is pretty shocking. Why not just share the same .plist file? Sometimes I wonder if all the yak shaving I spend on this app is worth it

I keep running into this... at the very least give the handle a lower opacity and z-index or something Believe it or not this measurement is 120px...

Agree with @moefinley here. I have a UI mockup of dynamic form fields. How am I meant to show the different fields that can be displayed based on other selections? This is what layer comps (or a similar feature) is for, and it doesn't exist in an app touted as being superior for UI design? I really want to know what I'm meant to do in this scenario

Does this feature exist yet? Currently in a situation where I copied layers from other constraints groups and now I have to manually return them all back to default constraints. There should be an option on the right click context menu of a layer to "clear constraints" which resets all contained elements to the default constraints setting and returns the group to a normal group/layer.

This is pretty much a must-have after you spend hours building up a symbol library in a document. They don't have to persist across documents (though that would be nice) - just a copy would be a great start.

+1 really need this. Often I have 1 line of text which then needs to be edited to 2 lines and I have to add manual line breaks, which is tedious if the content changes often

Just discovered this setting. Awesome! Not super obvious what the option means though, but glad it's there!

Any chance we can make these drag handles smaller, or have an option in settings to make them semi-transparent or something? How are you meant to see what you're doing with small objects?

Can we have a moderator chime in on the fact that this APPEARS to be a toggle but isn't a toggle at all, it's a one-time thing which makes the feature completely pointless? It also doesn't work when turning it on and then duplicating or pasting. It's very broken right now!

I want to fill in the blank part and create one under the arrow. In Photoshop I'd just select 1 pixel and use free-transform to drag the line out to fill the gap. There's no free-transform tool in AD that I can see, so what am I meant to do? /EDIT I already know I could use a vector curve to do this

When I enable the toggle button it only works for 1 insert then switches off. I want it always on so my layers panel forms a logical order from top to bottom of the document.

When I right click my artboard in the layers panel and click "Duplicate" all my symbols turn into groups in the new artboard. Why is this happening? It defeats the purpose of using symbols at all if they can't be duplicated en-masse?

The top most line is a pixel line I made in Photoshop. The line below it is the line I've created in AD using the Pen tool. As you can see the line is the correct width, but the stroke overhangs. I've tried playing with all the stroke positioning options and can't see a solution. Frustrating! Do I need to create a 1 pixel high box shape instead?

This is a really really critical bug. I'm trying to switch to AD from Photoshop and this bug makes me want to give up entirely
