Paresh got a reaction from Callum in most of my assets dissappeared
Wow you were right! I went to my account and it said I wasn't registered for some reason, so I just signed in and there were my assets. Actually they were free, it was several years ago in one of the AP updates as I recall. You could check your account and see if there are any free ones that you can download if you want. That was brilliant, thank you for hanging in with a trivial issue!

Paresh reacted to PaulEC in blown out highlights
You could try sampling a colour from another part of the sky, create a layer above, paint this colour over the blown out part of the image, blur it, use the Colour blend mode, then adjust the opacity. Another layer, using Multiply, with very low opacity, might also help. It needs a bit of trial and error to make it look realistic and not splodgy! Personally, I like the image as it is!

I don't think the highlights are blown out and I kind of like it exactly how it is

Paresh reacted to GarryP in file place - is there a way to automictically snap to fit the underlying file?
Since the Place Tool has its own – currently empty, in Designer and Photo – Context Toolbar, that might be a nice place to have a checkbox for this, maybe with a few other options for how the image should be resized (max fit, min fit, etc.).
Maybe this could be extended further by allowing the user to get the image to fit within the selected layer is there is one, but I don’t know how well that would work in practice as I’ve not thought about it much.
Might be worth adding a feature request and seeing if anything happens.

Thanks Walt!

Paresh reacted to v_kyr in Is there a shortcut for duplicate image?
As one single Shortcut? Nope, as Walt already said, there's no real duplicate image funtion in the sense of creating a duplicate image document via one click!
But there are some workarounds, which would need more than one keypress here, either via copy/paste of all layers, or Snapshots etc...

Paresh got a reaction from walt.farrell in my layout changed
Yes I got it straight now. It's just confusing because i haven't even thought about these settings for years until they suddenly changed. Thanks for hanging in with this. I'm an amateur, if you haven't already guessed, not a pro.

Paresh got a reaction from John Rostron in google nik - feature request
Thanks John, that makes sense. I wanted to open multiple images to find a Nik filter that would give them a similar look or color cast.

Paresh got a reaction from Pšenda in composite opacity
I tried that but lowering the opacity shows the blank document beneath.

Paresh got a reaction from Alfred in 2 different images in studio panel
Thanks Alfred! I have used place before but never noticed it creates a 2nd layer.
