Ian- got a reaction from debraspicher in Adjusted mask behaviour
StreamDeck is the way to go. You label the keys with text or icon and when the program focus changes ie you switch application the keys change to whatever you have assigned to that program.

Apps: Photo
Platforms: Windows and macOS
As has been requested you can now find the Place tool (previously only available in Designer and Publisher) as a customisation option in Affinity Photo (View -> Customise Tools) if you wish to add it to your main set of tools, making it more easily accessible than going to File -> Place.

@lphilpot
I have crossed out the MS Store bits, as the technology was developed for the store but delivery does not use the store at all
You may choose to undo my edits, or remove the crossed out bits if you agree (use the edit under the 3 dots top right)

Ian- reacted to thegary in MSI Installer upadate?
@Patrick Connor
Hello Patrick, I have attached two photos of V1 of Designer and V2 of the Preferences windows.
V1 font is bright and much easer to read. V2 even with adjusting the interface options is not as bright and some eye strain.
Any possibility of make this brighter or bolder. I find this smaller font in the interface in general a bit dim against any background.
Thanks
Gary

When will the Windows *.exe or *.msi installers be available. I only see *.msix. Lots of people are waiting, so am I.

At a cost of £37 for V2, exactly how much cheaper do you want it to be for V1 owners? An extra 10% off to save a whole £3?
I have had several years of use of V1 with constant updates so am more than happy to have to pay around the same for V2 as I paid for V1 years ago. Affinity Photo is an absolute bargain in software terms.
Just for reference Photoshop Elements is on Amazon for £86 for V2023, with no upgrade pricing as usual.
Personally. thank you Serif.

I can confirm that any new users on the Affinity Forums have a post limit for the initial period following creating an account - this is an anti-spam measure that is applied to any new Affinity account & this is the post limit you hit.
I can assure you that no specific post you have made in this time has caused a 'posting restriction' and no members of the Affinity Staff have manually restricted your account, though I can certainly understand why it may appear this way.

Ian- reacted to FutureLarking in Not able to start Affinity Photo 2 from DxO, XNViewMP, ART and Raw Therapee
The real solution is for the developers of the other apps to actually add support for modern Windows application. MSIX and app packages are Microsoft's preferred packaging format for Windows applications going forward, so whilst the Affinity suite is on the forefront of the curve many older apps still need to be updated to support them properly. (Which is a shame as appx/msix has existed for over half a decade, but as ever in the Windows ecosystem... things get updated very, very slowly.)

Capture One is not impacted by not being able to access the .exe file as it relies on an application registering itself as an image editor which automatically registers it in C1's "Open With" plugin.

I don't know if I am quite understanding what you are saying but if you change your display profile from say Blade to sRGB then this will change the appearance of the image. That is what is supposed to happen.
You posted two different photos but it is difficult to understand what you are showing. It is a photo with text on it. What is it supposed to show?
Is your screen a wide gamut aRGB or sRGB?
