Simon, do you have a similar to AD, course on Apub as well?  I'm crossing my fingers. Thank you for all you taught me, first AP and then AD. Also looking out for more advanced courses in AD, as youv'e done in AP ;-)

As far as I am aware On1 RAW cannot be used as a plugin in Affinity Photo, the plugins On1 produce don't locate in the plugin folder for Adobe Photoshop CC they sit under File > Automate, so, Affinity Photo will not know how to handle that.

There is an option in On1 RAW to send to an application for further editing this can be accessed from the File menu to "Send to another application..."

I use ON1 like above to AP. In A Photo I've set the "Enable Save over imported psd files" under Preferences>General. When I save (ctrl+S) an image in A Photo it sends it back to ON1

  3. Is your file for PC or for Mac? When I click on your link, this is what I get: Don't know what to do with it, sorry

My pleasure. In case you haven't found them, there's another set of macros that are meant to be used on Adjustment and Filter layers. Here's a link:

    https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/30523-luminosity-masks-for-adjustment-filter-layers/

Please forgive me if I'm at the wrong place, but my question is close to what you are discussing here. In Photoshop, I can copy an image or just a channel, say the Red channel in RGB by Ctrl+A and then Ctrl+C or create a luminosity mask by copying the L-channel in Lab.  I then can open a mask by Alt+click on the mask and paste the copied image into the mask by Crtl+V The image will now appear in the mask and I can use levels or curve adjustments on the mask. In Affinity Photo, I'm not able to do that, a new pixel layer appears on top and I cannot get this into a mask. Is there a special way to do it? I'm sure one must be able to create such a mask. Thank you

LenC, there is a Photoshop plugin based on Dan Margulis' work called Curve Meister (http://curvemeister.com)

It is an amazing program and I really hope it will soon be available for Affinity as well.  I can't do without it in terms of esp colour correction, mask creation and in general really curves on steroids. You may enjoy looking at it.

  6. I"m sure this not really what you want, but I use ON1 as I used to do with Lightroom and Photoshop.  It is possible to use the "Save over psd files"( In AP Preferences>General, mark)  to go from ON1 Photo Raw 2018 to Affinity and when you Save in Affinity (ctrl+S on my pc) image goes back to ON1, again as a psd file. You can put your effects on and back to AP again.  Condition is you have to export as a psd file from ON1 This may be sort of a detour for the time being. My wish is that Serif would expand the psd function to others like jpeg, dng etc.
