Now this is really strange!
Further down through the book at page 77, the text box on the right-hand page is now aligned correctly, as are all the other pages following on, apart from the very last page, where the text box has moved over again.When I created the book (brought in all the text, I made pages first but had to add pages after that, as there was a lot more text. So, some pages were made with the Master already included but when adding new pages, it is a different box you use to add them & include the Master page. So, I know the last page was made at the beginning because I added that text separately& I just kept adding pages for the book afterwards.
So, I managed to correct a few pages & get the text box in alignment but now I can see that the continuation link between the two boxes is not going to the box but to an internal alignment which is not there is the original text.
This is so strange, as there appears to be another box that holds the text but when I remove the Master page, then the 2nd box & the text disappears also.If this is a bug it's driving me nuts!

Hi Dan,
I have just found something else & I don't know if it's me or the program.I have the pages facing & make a Master page A (facing), & on these two pages I align the guides & text boxes so that there is the correct space on the outside of the pages & slightly more on the inside (for the seam).
However, I now find that when I view the pages with the text, the right-hand pages all have their text box moved slightly over, so that the spacings aren't even. There is no logical reason for it & when I go back to the Master Page, the text boxes are in the correct place.
Any suggestions please? Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Hello Dan again,
I think I've solved my own problem.
This time I left the page spread as is inside of Publisher v2, & just exported as a PDF & it seems to have made the pages as singles & not as a spread.
Not sure why that has happened, but it solved my problem. Although if you wanted a spread it would cause an issue.
Anyway, fingers crossed it works when I upload it to KDP.

Hello Dan,
After updating again with Microsoft OS, that particular bug seems to have gone, as I'm now able to delete the pages I no longer want.However, I have a new major issue. When creating a book, I use facing pages but to upload to KDP, you need to have the pages singular. In the previous version this was no problem. But now, in version 2, I did the same thing & half of the pages are now blank. So, how do I get around this issue? Any ideas please?

This is wonderful news. I want to be able to install to an external drive, as my internal SSD is almost full. Can't afford to upgrade yet.

Hello again Lee,
I removed that Update but it has made no difference, except now the software is doing even more weird things. When I try & delete a page, both Dustbin & the Duplicate button are depressed, so although it appears it deletes a page, it also adds the same page again.
When I then tried to remove a Master page (thinking that might be causing it), it also duplicates a page, so now I have 17 extra blank pages that I can't get rid of. I did put in another Support request but haven't heard anything yet but by looking at all the messages on the Forum, I'm guessing it's going to be awhile before anyone gets back to me about this BUG!Thanks

Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz but I do have increased text size.

Thank you for the update. I do realise that there are other issues with people not being able to install.
However, I am now unable to work on this project & time is getting tight.
I originally had issues with V1 (had the latest update), as when I added the TOC, there were no page numbers added & just couldn't find out what was wrong.
So, gleefully purchased V2, in the hope that the problem would be solved, which it did.
But now of course, there is this weird issue with adding pages, when I am trying to delete them. I did a clean install originally for Publishes & I haven't added the other programs yet, so didn't think there could be a conflict there.So, hopefully, your amazing team will be able to get to my issue quite soon.

No, I tried all of those scenarios & still nothing works, it just keeps adding pages. No matter what I try, both the Dustbin & the Duplicate Button get depressed; so both are working together.

Hi Support,
When trying to delete unwanted pages, I highlight, then click on the Dustbin to Delete the page but it doesn't work, & I think I know why.When I click on the Dustbin, the Duplicate Selected pages also becomes Highlighted, so even though it is trying to Delete, it also Duplicates the highlighted page, so nothing gets deleted.
I tried also deleting the page by right-clicking & clicking on Delete but that also doesn't work.
Now, I tried Clearing the Master from these spare pages but every time I do, it just keeps adding pages. But I noticed that even though the Duplicate Pages & the Delete icons are not depressed when I clear the Master pages, as I do so, they both become depressed, so more pages get added.
I will try & get a screen shot
Definitely a BUG.
Is this a Bug?

Hi Lee,
I have Windows 10 Pro, so will check through the list you have & see if there is one relevant to my system.
As I said, although I can open it now & have the Contents listed, there are no page numbers by the side. And no matter what I click, nothing changes.
I have just purchased V2 of the Suite, so will see if that might be an improvement. However, I have just learned that the suite will only install in the C:\ drive & I don't have any space left on the SSD. There is a workaround for the App but the file still only installs in C:\.Oh. Well....

I've managed to get my file open again & have added the TOC but there are no numbers added to the TOC. I have page numbers, so why aren't they showing?
Does anyone know how to get the page numbers to show in the TOC?

I have a large book 6 x 9 in & over 300 pages. It was working fine before the update but now, when trying to add a TOC, it doesn't add the numbers & the sizing is all wrong & I can't change it. If I try, the TOC disappears & then it crashes. I've tried opening again but it just crashes again.
Any suggestions please?

I know of at least one developer who is eagerly waiting for Designer to be able to runs Scripts/Macros.
Please Serif - can you consider adding this function to Designer in the very near future?

Hi Chris, Yes, it has happened at least 3 times in a row, then I reopened the project and it happened again, so I stopped trying to do it and started the project again.

Just started testing Publisher (and I absolutely love it).
I was adding an Adjustment (Black & White) to an image, then went back to check on the settings so that I could apply it to a new image and the program crashed.
Does anybody know if we are going to be getting Macros/Action Scripts?

Please can you tell me when Actions are going to be added to Affinity Designer?
Being able to create macros/Actions is going to save a tremendous amount of time when repeating a series of events.
Please, please can you tell me if this is coming out in version 6?

Please Serif, take pity on us poor designers and give us the ability to create Macros.
The time this would save, would enable us to design more and more wonderful creations
using your lovely software.
I am on my knees begging for the ability to have MACROS in Designer......

Old Bruce... I couldn't do all that work, as I am on a very tight deadline.
Dan... I think I have solved it & it might be a bug. When I hover over the pages in the left hand coloum it shows what Master Pages you have linked. What I found was, on the right-hand page, the Master pages were linked in a different order than the left ones. So, instead of: Master A left, Master A Right, Master Numbering left, Master Numbering right, there were multiple Master pages listed, even 3 or 4 of each. I tried only having the Master page A & clearing all the rest but it wasn't doing it.
So, I Added the Master A, unlinked the rest of them, then just added the Master for Numbering. I got the pages to work but all the other masters just haven't gone. I tried to take an image but none of them take an image automatically, you have to draw it & then the popup disappears.
