  1. MEB, Dont worry about the delay as it was a good thing. With the update to Affinity 1.7.1 the old Google plugins are fully functional again. All is good for me.
  2. Quite simple. Version 1.7.0 didn't work with the Google NIK plugins. Version 1.7.1 works just like 1.6.7 did. I just updated Affinity and used my original Google NIK plugins. I have deleted the DxO NIK trial versions. All back to normal, for me.
  3. Kevin, I found the solution. Update to 1.7.1 and use the old Google NIK plugins. All is good! And saved $99.
  4. Update - My initial testing says to continue with Define 2, but that may simply be due to knowing how to apply it. Any thoughts?
  5. Hello, I see that noise reduction has been improved in 1.7.1. I previously used Nik's Define 2. Anyone have opinions as to which is best to use? I will go away and play in the meantime but have to find a noisy shot first, and it is always nice to learn from other's experience.
  6. Yeah! Latest version working as per the old version. Happy days!
  7. Well, I will be patient until the trial period ends. If there is no reliable solution then I will roll back to a previous version for as long as possible, then move on to alternative software. Pity. I hate having to learn new workflows.
  8. Hi, Starting a new thread as my new problem was a tangent to an old problem. When I open Viveza 2 in Affinity Photo I get thrown out. No warning. I have the latest versions of all legit software. From the other thread - MBP, 15", 2017, 10.14.5, 2.9Ghz i7, 16Gb memory, Radeon Pro 560 4Gb. Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Codes: EXC_I386_GPFLT Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY Termination Signal: Segmentation fault: 11 Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0xb Terminating Process: exc handler [2811]
  9. Nope. Viveza 2 still crashes Affinity, and I was already at the latest versions of everything. MBP, 15", 2017, 10.14.5, 2.9Ghz i7, 16Gb memory, Radeon Pro 560 4Gb. Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Codes: EXC_I386_GPFLT Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY Termination Signal: Segmentation fault: 11 Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0xb Terminating Process: exc handler [2811]
  10. Thanks MEB, creating the new folder manually did the trick! Now, about Viveza2. Is that a known issue? It crashes Affinity every time I try to use it.
  11. Thanks for that fde101. I was using the Google version, so $99 it is. Anyone got an answer to the plugin issue?
  12. Hi MEB, Thanks for that. If need be then I will pay to keep my workflow. However, I need some clarification. I tried downloading Nik Collection from DxO as a trial. They work within DxO but not within Affinity. I've added the folder to the plug in option but none show up and the Authorise Global is greyed out. I have restarted Affinity, and I have rebooted my MBP. Is this due to it being a trial version, or am I doing something wrong? If it is due to being a trial version then is the discounted price the $99 on their webpage? Edit:- A successful roll back to 1.6.7 is my solution until things settle down. I did however find out that I don't like and can't be bothered to learn a DxO workflow. Thanks!
  13. View > Studio > Library Sorry, that was when updating to 1.7. Worked for me. But not Nik.....
