It almost looks like you're saying, "No noise," Oval. I don't think that is what Vital was implying.
Art (of reading) needs the skills of the viewer. ;) You can read/interpret/see what you want and you can write what you want. Depends on the skills. If there will be a “Vital” he can think what he wants. Perhaps “Vital” only reads “noise” or “no nonsense” or … Well, “Vital” could tell us if “Vital” drops in …

One way (with the advantage to change the result easily):
1. add a bigger yellow/red rectangle than your glass on the level/position you want it
2. Cut it
3. activate the (upper part of the) glass and use “Paste Inside”

No news. And after more than one month the printers have forgotten it? :(
And within one month it was not possible to update the pictures on https://affinity.serif.com/de/designer/workbook/ and use correct quotation marks there. ;)

While waiting for Publisher […]
So I am holding my breath for two things: 1) linking to external files in Designer and 2) a truly interchangeable file format between Designer and Publisher.
Do you think that linking to external files in Designer will become true before the launch of APu in 2017 or 2018 … and the interchangeable file format wasn’t promised?
Not easy to suggest a solution without a screenshot or the file: Have you tried all options to get a smaller PDF, Rocketdrive?

We don’t have your file so we cannot tell you specific details. But as MEB already pointed out, check the thread, please. A black Affinity cat has great tips and tricks for you there.

It already was explained that the file format is optimised for speed rather than size.

Please try to use “Image” instead of “Custom Shape”. Does that help?
If even copy and paste (from AD) does not work, try to export PDFs.

Das ist recht eindeutig etwas, was unter Mac und Windows derzeit verschieden ist. Oder hast Du auch Windows?
Ich denke nicht, dass es ein Bug ist. Das mit der Sprache war ja ein Witz.
Witze werden ohnehin ignoriert ;), aber wenn etwas fehlt, sollte es ein Bug sein. Und ja, Windoof haben wir auch.
Workaround: Einfach den Zeilen-Auswahlrahmen als Abstand nutzen, bis sich Serif gekümmert hat.

Da muss man ja schon Hellseher sein, um die Ursache für das Problem einzugrenzen, weil hier in der deutschen Version nichts fehlt.
Falls ein Reset nicht hilft, bitte direkt Serif anmailen oder einen Bug-Report schreiben.

Crazy that users don’t find the distance lines. A bit like the problem with the light text colour of the search field here on top. Serif wasn’t able to improve that.

I am sorry .. you are not suppose to critique what i did. are you? instead of appreciating people that they love to use Affinity products you are behaving in opposite way. The thing you like you want to improve that and I only wanted to have those features otherwise I don't care about any other AI alternatives. I should remain a silent observer. And this is a forum to discuss , not to point out in a laugh way!
Did not critique, just telling facts. But if you only Interpret in one way: If somebody is saying that he designs stunning stuff and he shows something else, his needs for linked text in Affinity Designer get implausible.
It wasn’t said that you have to use other apps. But only the market pressure (this is what was meant) could change the decision of Serif not to add features like linked text "directly” into Affinity Designer.This (topic) is about the Affinity Designer Customer Beta (1.5.5 - Beta 1) and it does not really make sense to discuss those Affinity Publisher features here (more for bugs and thanks) because you already knew that they will need time (until 2017 / 2018 [Affinity Publisher]).- Philipwhand and HaroldBark

This would work just fine with the architecture, but I think it's going to have to be a 'one day' thing - because it would rely on some of the other components we need in order to make multi-page/multi-artboard and canvas rotation work - so it would be after those things.
Still no hope to have it (and the SVI) before “Pages”?

If you think what I designed in Affinity designer shouldn't be designed in Affinity designer but in publisher than i think you are wrong. Affinity is enough capable that let me design stunning stuff but why can't i have linked text in AD.
This is what you think but Dave Harris already answered what Serif will do and will not do. No idea why you asked for APu features in AD here again. There are other design apps that also have features that Affinity Publisher will have.
BTW: No designer would do what you have done with texts. One example that really hurts:
