  1. If you don’t make a concept, this will end in art and not something that is strong. Don’t think about what you like but what your clients need. One rule is that a logo is clear (because it must be understood quickly and survive between others). For example ask why a circle and is it really so much more important than N and D (D stands for your Name and Design and …). So why not a (rounded) rectangle that stands for the hardware (screens) you create things for? First: make a concept. What you want to communicate (show) with the logo and much later (second) play with the forms that communicate what you do/sell.

If you only want to work for clients that work in the natural area, then you could start with a technical font/glyphs for example and change it to a natural style.

Most of your drafts have filigree forms. Try it with more power/strength/thickness.

Ask (yourself/many people) what your new drafts (should) communicate (fashionable, dynamic, static, strong, thin, serious, …).

HTH a bit [corporate design is too complex to fit in this forum]

  2. I would like your advice on which one do you prefer, because I don't really know what to do... Also, if you have some suggestions to improve my logos, feel free to share them.

really difficult to make a cool design with those letters.

I prefer something circle since it's easier to put on a website

Sorry, without knowing what you do, work, sell, think … and what the concept is, it doesn’t make sense to suggest something specific.

Not difficult to create logos with any letters for professionals. Please read a suitable book before you start, because the logo is the most important element of corporate design.

A cool blue would be cool for a cool logo and gradients are mostly not a good idea for logos.

Not a good idea to think about what fits on websites. Good idea to think about what fits to the things you do.

  3. The answer is very simple. Not enough people and we haven't found any new ones yet.

Even the “old” ones are not able to update some text:

“[…] Affinity Designer for Windows, we’ll be bringing Affinity Photo to that platform too.”

Or perhaps problems with the infinite improbability drive?

“2017 wollen wir Affinity Publisher als Beta veröffentlichen, und dafür benötigen wir Ihre Hilfe.”

Schade, da wird man offiziell aufgefordert, bei der Veröffentlichung der Beta zu helfen, aber Serif scheint dann doch keine Hilfe zu benötigen. :( Auch nicht von neuen kostenlosen Mitarbeitern! Liegt vielleicht am Brexit.

  4. FYI:

In FAQs Serif told us: "We are going to focus on completing the full suite (including Affinity Publisher) on the Mac over the next 12 months. After that we will look into other platforms.“

And MEB: “There will be an Affinity Designer app for iPad/iPad Pro. It's currently under development but it may still take a little until it's ready.“ (14 December 2015) and "Affinity is also developing an iPad version of Affinity Designer, however it will only come after the Mac line have been developed/established“ (06 January 2015)

  5. Hi DavidMac

I've just tried this with the Pen tablet and the area is indeed too small to be easily reached without requiring much precision. I'm passing this to the dev team to see if it can be improved a little.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Thanks!

And please ask them to enlarge/reduce the active areas according to the preferences of the Tool Handle Size. And perhaps it makes sense to have the active areas not only outside the active object(s) and not only near the mid handles.

    HTH
