another menuitem 'easter egg' :-)
This is exactly what was required - and again, 'layer/convert to curves' makes no logical sense to me whatsoever when what we are doing is converting a truetype/PS outline to a path (or curve if you must) LOL
You can “love or hate” users of complex software that do not use the “Affinity Designer Help”:
Tried it several times, but it seems that Serif does not want to make the app more usable (with a better help, with context sensitive menus, unifications, more clarity, …) for so many users that are not high-end professionals.

Import of HEIC files on systems that are not 10.13, 10.14, 10.15

The Q in turn is how third party vendors have to deal with this here.
Posted October 13: The license (< 10.13) is expensive?
Serif did not answer here.

unless you are running High Sierra there is nothing you can do with the HEIF format
This is the reason why it would be a good idea to support HEIC import, because Affinity works on 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, 10.12. If users get HEIC files, they would like to use them. Or would it be a good idea to cancel the support for 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, 10.12?!

A theme for Affinity because Affinity supports older and other systems (more users) in contrast to Pixelmator Pro. Seems no theme. We will see. Or not.

knock knock knock …
(Other developers already integrated HEIC import for older OS.)

Which activity do you mean, please? Perhaps the closing of this thread?

Surely (not) only the first time you are shocked if you are unfamiliar with the style. Especially in the German version (“You have to …”((!))). One is also led immediately to buy-designer …

Be aware that Affinity will use soft hyphens if you add them manually.
Does not work with your “Insert Filler Text”. So not useful to present professional typography. Will there be more options very soon?

Clever: never say never. (one day the cats buy edobA because they need more developers)

That was a funny one (from affinity@serif.com): “das innovative Grundgerüst”

-
After 30 years of DTP we are afraid to ask for details of these obvious things. Potential buyers already lowered the expectations after it was announced that multiline composition will initially be missing for example. But as already written: Bought!

After all that … waiting for that illustration: frog grabs a cat

Thanks. And again sorry for reporting.
Yes, the first mistake is embarrassing because
1. “dass” is not “das”
2. “dass” does not mean “das”
3. it hinders understanding and reading fluency (because of 2.)
4. in Germany especially this mistake is called embarrassing, because it is characteristic for bad press
5. people who use "dass" instead of "das" write their texts inaccurately by ear rather than meaning
6. it is not the only error
7. the products are advertised with high standards (especially and also in that sentence); careless mistakes could lead to credibility loss then
8. especially here (“UNTERNEHMEN/Info”): the text quality also has an impact on how a company and its products are valued

-
Sorry, but please correct this
embarrassingerror here: “Aber er wollte etwas erschaffen, dass die Messlatte für kreative Designsoftware deutlich höher legen würde.”□
“16 Bit” would be better than “16 Bits” there
and please stop using wrong/inconsistent dashes on the same website like here and please no wrong quotation marks like there.

Oh I meant the OS itself, not the Affinity programs.
Of course, thanks. It was just a tiny joke [hint: the used emoticon] because this is more about Affinity Pu, whose problems (some excluded) we can not discuss here.

clarification as to what #3 means
Hopefully Serif will do what is possible. Perhaps Serif will ask what would be useful for most / high-end users.

I’m still trying to find someone who can tell me where exactly I can find the link. I didn’t see it so it’s not obvious. Let’s try to make it simple. Which area of the screen is it located? Top left etc?
Please click here and check the pictures. If you don’t get the pictures, please read the text for further explanations.
Does that help?
