For example a “Convert Pixel selection to Vector shape”, a "Mesh fill tool" and a "Knife tool" were announced on the Affinity Designer feature roadmap.

A workaround is the use of text on path.

And here you can get customizable rulers for curves.

Hopefully even areas will be calculated in future. That would be the basis for automatic visual/optical alignments.

Da der Funktionsumfang seit »geraumer« Zeit weniger als vormals gestiegen ist, kann man doch hoffen, dass da bald Fehlendes hinzukommt. Dass Serif programmieren kann, ist seit vielen Jahrzehnten bewiesen. Und da dies nun dank M1 Max schneller geht, kann es ja nicht mehr so lange dauern. Alles eine Frage der Relativität. Drücken wir uns so lange die Daumen, bis wir keine Workarounds mehr benötigen, allerdings ist die Bedienung dann lange etwas schwieriger. OK, dann eben nur die Zehen.
