  1. Very interesting to see the answers so far. I hope to see more people take it, but it is kind of hidden. I only stumbled upon it because I was reading in a different subforums than I usually do.
  2. Eusebius, I have been looking for a replacement for Aperture because I know the inevitable will happen and it will no longer be supported. I hope that Serif has there DAM out by then. I tried Light Room but I hated it. Take a look at Pixave 2 http://www.littlehj.com its inexpensive and may just work for what you need. I have it downloaded but have not given it a real work out. I did change my importing habits though and use a file system in my pictures folder that would look like this for mothers day. Pictures/2016/May/Mothers Day So it is easy to use any program to find the originals and save jpegs back.
  3. To change brush size : [ key smaller ] key larger Changing softness and opacity is a requested feature that has been accepted but not implemented yet. Changing color not sure maybe look in feature requests and if it is not listed there put in a request.
  4. Never mind, I was watching your video on creating a composition and there it was. Square Brackets for the win.
  5. Is there a way to change the brush sizes in the Develop persona? I have looked and tried to use all the brush resize explanations I have found, they must be only for the Photo Persona. I am trying to do an overlay and need to make the brush size smaller to fit between some trees to tone down the bright sky behind them. I would like to do this on the RAW file before moving it to the Photo Persona. Thanks
  6. The only thing I found so far is that while using help to look at the overlays in the develop persona this is what I see. Not sure if its just me or not.
  7. Sorry but I disagree with you on this, simply because some of us are looking for a replacement for Aperture and don't want to have to use Adobe products. I have installed Light Room 5 and frankly the interface sucks compared to Aperture. Affinity is a very promising project and should not be hobbled by not supporting RAW development in app. Affinity should be in a great place about the time that Aperture becomes useless on the next OS release. I agree with their statements about DAM development in other posts but I hope that eventually they will add one in.
