I don't have any constructive criticism to give (screw all that), I just like the fact that you gave it a go. I've done magazine things myself but they're all jokey-wokey risqué works. Not for this forum.

Thanks for that - just tried it and it works again.
What an odd thing this hardware accelerator is! Some things work with it while others do not.

    Hello @AffinityJules.
Try disenable the OpenGL, then it should work again .

Just a silly experiment which I was playing around with after half-remembering something I saw on a TV show.
Nothing special, just thought some people might like to see it, and maybe it will motivate someone into making something better.
(All the Live Filters I used on this really hammered my machine – poor little thing.)
Note: In case anyone is interested, the globe was originally monochrome and the background was a full-colour photo, the rest was created in either Photo or Designer.

At first I thought I would be funny, but the results were decidedly pitiful.  Good thing I am not a designer for a living!!  Then I thought we could all use some calm and  gentleness in this turbulent and social-distanced world.   @StuartRc's beautiful color from his palette "inktober 2020 06 Rodent #49" was perfect for the giraffes.  His generosity in sharing so much of his genius with us all (as do so many on these forums), and the indefatigable efforts of the brilliant ladies and gentlemen at Serif are truly appreciated!  So Happy Valentine's Day and may 2021 be happy for everybody.

This is my latest poem as a tribute to the late Captain Sir Thomas Moore. The image was turned into a cartoon using the GMIC extension in Affinity Photo. The poem was written in LibreOffice and imported into Affinity Publisher.

AffinityJules reacted to jmwellborn in Merry Christmas with a new Plugin
Although the JixiPix plugins will not work yet with my new MacBook Pro 2020 M1 chip with Big Sur, here is a first attempt using their Pastello Pro software with my good old trusty iMac (High Sierra).   I used an image from the Stock Panel  applied the pastel plugin, then sent it back to Photo where I added a Curves adjustment, a Levels adjustment to the pastel effect, to lighten and brighten it a little and then tossed in a border with an outline.  So here are some "social distance-ers" without masks.   Merry Christmas everyone and here's hoping that the developers of various apps make their plugins work with our lovely Affinity Photo in 2021.
